Find your Oasis on Lake Gogebic! This 3 bedroom, 2 bath home overlooking beautiful Lake Gogebic, the largest lake in Michigan's Upper Peninsula is a one of a kind vacation destination. It was recently remodeled. The main level is handicap accessible with ramp, 36" doorways and roll in shower.
Guests love it for all seasons. Are you fishing for a walleye or jumbo perch? Or the beauty of the fall colors? Maybe snowmobiling on 1000+ miles of groomed trails (braap)? With an annual snowfall of nearly 300 inches, Lake Gogebic is situated on the best snowmobile trail system in the country. We are located right by Trail 1 on the West Shore. If some R & R in the Northwoods is your jam, cozy up to the fireplace and play some chess or visit the local shops. There is plenty of parking for vehicles and trailers. A dock and boat lift onsite. Forget something or don't feel like cooking-- Gogebic Lodge is located right next door for gas, bait, restaurant and bar.

Great cabin experience

Good cabin, great parking, the upstairs bathroom sink and bathtub have drain issues, and we didn't receive an access code to get in initially, but through the VRBO website I was connected with Wayne (the owner) and was given the lockbox code. (An owners phone number would be nice to have prior to arrival.) Overall it was a great weekend, and the cabin was a part of that experience. I have stayed there in the past, and will most likely stay again.

Great location for our group to stay! snowmobiled right from the property and plenty of room to park our trucks and trailers. The home was clean and accommodated us well.

Great Place to stay for Snowmobiling or Ice fishing

Oasis North was a great place to stay for our snowmobiling trip! Plenty of room for parking for our three trucks and trailers. Easy access to the trail systems. We cooked all our dinners in home and had all the kitchen supplies we needed. Kitchen table was perfect for big dinners or playing cards every night. Gas fire place was nice and kept us warm. The beds were comfortable and water pressure was good in the showers. Hosts were very nice and responsive. All and all it was a great time!

Great location. Not very clean.

The cabin is in a great location and the host was very receptive when I had questions.However…the biggest problem was the mouse droppings found under the toaster (after we already used it for the day), the dishes were not clean and had to be washed before using. The upstairs shower has a slow draIn so you stand in 2-3 inches of water when you use it. The upstairs toilet was loose and wobbly. When you take the garbage out, it needs to be driven down the long driveway and across the street (I’m not even sure I put in the right place) and is no fun when it is below zero outside.

Oasis trip

Had a hard time opening key box and beds were not made or gas in grit. But after all that was corrected. Everything went well. Will plan to come back next fall.

Relaxing weekend

We had a great relaxing weekend on the lake Gogebic. Property was exactly as described. Beds were comfy, kitchen well stocked. We loved that it was right next door to the Gogebic Lodge, convenient to dine out. By the way, food there was delicious! Great lake neglected house

We have been using VRBO at least twice a year for over a decade, with no problems. We have never had a bad owner or experience. A day into our stay we had to go and buy paper towels, toilet paper, and garbage bags as the property ran out of those supplies. We attempted to use the fireplace on the first day that we arrived and found the pilot light out and the ignitor did not light. We were able to get the pilot to light, but even after it was lit, the fireplace worked sporadically. The sliding door to the walk through bedroom was very difficult to open and close. A door knob to the upstairs bedroom was broken and off so that door was not able to latch. There were baby toys and food behind the dressers and dead bugs on the windows and sills.The mattresses were uncomfortable. Some had to put pillows under the fitted sheets to tolerate sleeping on them. It may sound like nitpicking, but we would like others to know the quality of sleep that they will get. The only check out instructions were to take the garbages to the dumpster. Not only did we do that, but we swept up the kitchen, wiped down the fridge, and put stuff back as we found it. We washed the towels and living room blankets, and put them in the dryer prior to leaving. After doing all of this the owner attempted to assess us for an additional cleaning fee. Luckily VRBO was able to see that the charge had no validity and canceled it immediately. Photo evidence is a must when it comes to fraudulent charges

Great Family Stay

Overall a great stay with a very accurate description. The lake is gorgeous and neighborhood is nice. The walk through bedroom can be a little challenging to navigate depending on family situations but that was known up front. Thanks Bridget and Wayne!

Bucket list trip

My father loved the lake so much that he asked to have his ashes spread in the lake. I was in the military when he passed and never had the opportunity to visit the lake. I and my family made the trip this Father’s Day weekend to finally see my dad’s favorite place and spend Father’s Day with him. I want to thank the Oasis North owners and staff we had a wonderful time.

Nice place on Lake Gogebic

The location and place were very nice! The deck/patio out back are directly on the lake. Had the weather cooperated and not rained all weekend, it would have been a nice spot to sit in the evening. The place was well stocked, cleaned and maintained. Many thanks to the hosts!

Lake Gogebic is our second home and a great way to escape the city life.

Why they chose this property

Oasis North is a prime location on Lake Gogebic. Located 1 driveway north of Gogebic Lodge- one of the most happening resorts on the lake. Great for drinks, food, boat rentals and bait. The cabin has lots of parking for snowmobile trailers and boats. The deck is amazing to enjoy the view-- it's 40 feet from the water. You can't get any closer than that! The entire cabin has been remodeled in 2021 with more upgrades coming soon. It's a great destination spot for any season to enjoy the outdoors!

The main level is fully handicap accessible. All doorways are 36" including out to the deck. There is an outdoor entrance ramp. The main level bathroom is equipped with a roll in shower, handicap toilet and sink.
