Excellent location to walk to restaurants, shops and the waterfront. The apartment in this historic house was restored very nicely and furnished so you can feel at home.
This is a lovely place to stay. It’s a nice blend of old and new. An easy walk to downtown or anywhere. Bristol is such a walking town and this location is wonderful and quiet.
It was a lovely quaint apartment in a historic tree-lined neighborhood. John was a wonderful host. Comfortable bed and quiet environment. Highly recommend.1
The location was wonderful...a short walk to shops, restaurants, amazing water views, and the bike path. John was very accommodating, allowing us to arrive earlier than planned and the use of the front porch.
We were here for our grandson’s graduation from high school and we were looking for a place downtown. This house was perfect for us. John was a great host , everything you could possibly need was provided! We were even treated to a delicious blueberry loaf! Clean and recently updated with new kitchen and bathroom. Would certainly like to stay there again.
We had the most wonderful time Bristol. The location was ideal. We could walk everywhere. The apartment was perfectly suited for 2 of us.
Every detail was taken care of and John was wonderful with communication. The marvelous homemade chocolate bread was such a great gift to start our girls trip.
Would highly recommend.
Walking distance to restaurants and water. Beautiful New England town with great houses and scenery. Quaint apartment with period furnishings and decor that fit right in with the NE village vibe. 5/5 star walk score. Comfy bed, big shower and soaking tub, very clean
An old New England home with a surprise! I was concerned at first! Upon entering the unit, I was amazed to see the modern kitchen against the highly polished, old wood floors! I was greeted by a beautiful ceramic dish containing fresh blueberry cake, with a ribbon tied on it, and a welcome note! The sitting room and bedroom are furnished with antiques, old rugs, preserved original lighting, and comfortable bed and bedding. The bathroom is completely new, with rain style and hand held shower heads, and a large soaking tub. Outside on the porch are two chairs for enjoying the bird choruses in the mornings, and a green open space for games and visiting. The location was perfect for me-6 tenths of a mile to one sister, and 7 tenths to the other! I would recommend this unit!

About the host
Hosted by John
We purchased this property in November 2016, it was a derelict property, only one apartment had a heating system. Over a span of 5 years every apartment was completely remodeled. This apartment, the last, we use for ourselves and short term rentals. Dont let the exterior fool you.....its next on our list.
Why they chose this property
If you like historic homes you will like this apartment. We added all modern amenities while maintaining a lot of the original features like the moldings and southern yellow pine floors.
