Hopeful, yet disappointed
We loved the location of the house, the number of en suite bedrooms, and the open layout of kitchen and living areas. The house accommodated our guest needs. However, there were several disappointments and issues that could have easily been avoided. Previous renters had, for God knows what reason, decided to flip some door knobs around, so they locked from the opposite side, this lead to belongings being locked in the garage accidentally and then we couldn’t access them because the lock was on the inside of the garage instead of the outside. Maintenance came and fixed it and confirmed it had not been that way weeks previously. we also rented this house for the pool and paid to have the pool heated. Upon request for the pool maintenance to come to the house to turn on the heat, we learned heat was not an option because it was broken and maintenance told us that the homeowner and Vacasa were aware. We had to put in multiple requests to have the pool heat charges refunded. Maintenance also knew that there had been issues with the elevator. Yet the elevator malfunctioned and a guest became trapped and we had to call 911.. our handicapped guests, then had to stay on their respective floors until elevator repair company could come and replace hydraulic fluid in the elevator shaft. Nothing was done or offered for inconveniences due to neglect of proper inspections that would have prevented panic and anxiety for trapped guest in elevator and those stuck on their respective bedroom floors….small gestures could go a long way.
