About this property
The Falcon's Nest at Lake Leelanau
Summary:
4 bd / 2.5 ba with gorgeous view overlooking Lake Leelanau
The Space:
The Falcon's Nest at Lake Leelanau is a 4-bedroom, 2.5-bath cottage-style home with breathtaking views of Lake Leelanau. The views can be enjoyed from either the main deck or the terrace off the upstairs master bedroom. The large backyard with fire pit is perfect for kids or adults to play games and run wild and free. The spacious sitting area is perfect for gathering to enjoy morning coffee. The large kitchen with coffee bar is stocked with all the amenities and utensils to prepare homemade meals. Just 2.5 miles from Leland and in the heart of Leelanau County, this cottage is the perfect jumping off point for your vacation up north.
Guest Access:
Smart Lock with code will be used for entry. Co-host Chris will be available via phone or text for any access questions.
The Neighborhood:
The cottage is located off of Duck Lake road, has a dedicated driveway, and sits on a bluff overlooking Lake Leelanau. The property lies next to a subdivision with a few neighboring homes visible, however they are not overly close by.
With that in mind, we ask guests to be mindful of the community and keep noise levels to a respectable level while also maintaining quiet hours from 11PM to 8 AM daily.
Getting Around:
To get around you'll need the use of a vehicle, as the cottage is centrally located in northern Leelanau County but isn't walking distance to any of the attractions.
Other Things to Note:
The driveway is paved but is long and steep, take care when coming and going.
The outdoor fire pit is a propane operated unit, rather than a wood fired one. The instructions for use are listed on the unit itself.
Guests will be required to bag trash and deliver to roadside bins upon check-out.
Interaction with Guests:
Chris is the dedicated cohost and will be your point of contact during your trip.
It's unlikely that you'll meet him in person, but he is always available via the booking platform app, text, or mobile and is quite responsive to inquiries.
Please don't hesitate to reach out it you have any questions about the accommodations, area, or you booking.
Ps. If for some reason Chris needs to visit the property, he will notify and confirm with guests prior to coming out.

About the host
Hosted by Chris Stowe

Born and raised in Traverse City, I've recently moved back to the area to focus full time on my STR property management business. While most guests won't meet me in person, please know I'm only a phone call away should you need recommendations, have questions, or have other feedback.
On a personal note, I'm married to my lovely wife Megan and we've got a toddler named Sammy and an infant named Noah, both are absolute delights! We love being parents, and there's no better place to raise a family than Northern Michigan...
Additionally, I have all sorts of various hobbies and am a seasoned traveler (+30 countries so far...) so I can give you all sorts of travel advice for Asia and elsewhere. So far, my favorite places were: Italy, Ireland, New Zealand, and Switzerland.
As a host and vacation rental manager, I have tried to make my spaces in Northern Michigan into places you’ll enjoy! You can count on me to be available at all times to assist in answering your questions!
Why they chose this property
Location, location, location!
The home is situated on a bluff overlooking Lake Leelanau and offers an amazing view of the lake. Additionally, it offers excellent access to all of Leelanau County as it sits directly between the city of Lake Leelanau and Leland; you'll be a short drive to some really amazing places. Such as: numerous inland lakes (Lake Leelanau, Big and Small Glen Lake, etc.), Lake Michigan, West Bay, the Sleeping Bear Dunes, countless vineyards, and more!
What makes this property unique
There is space for 8 people to comfortably stay at this home and it features a view of Lake Leelanau that can't be found anywhere else. You'll be able to enjoy the view from either the first floor balcony or the main floor's deck, equipped with plenty of seating as well as a propane grill in case you want to stay in and cook at home.
