Quiet Mountain Escape Between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg
This one bedroom, one and a half bath loft cabin is located in Sky Harbor a short drive off of the Parkway between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. A nice escape from the hustle and bustle of town but only about 15 minutes will put you in either location. When you arrive you will find a rustic cabin feel in a modern property with all of the amenities you need. You will find paved roads all the way up to the gravel parking area just outside of the front door. There is a beautiful spacious wrap around porch on three sides of the home with a four person hot tub located on the back side of the deck. Repurposed railroad ties adorn the porch and make a nice ramp for level easy access from the parking area. When you walk through the main door you enter into the living room with a vaulted ceiling and electric fireplace with a flatscreen television mounted above it. Light shines in from the many windows and three sliding glass doors. just off of the living room is a dining area and live edge bar countertop. In the kitchen you will find new stainless appliances and well stocked for all of your cooking needs. Just through the hallway to your left you will find the master bedroom featuring a king sized bed, with a private sliding door allowing access to the deck. Mounted above the dresser you will find a flat screen television. To you right in the hallway you will find the stacked washer and dryer for your laundry needs. Just beyond that is the Master Bathroom. The Master Bathroom features top of the line finishes with a beautiful colored glass vessel sink, and a tiled wall shower with a sliding glass door. Back in the main living area you will find a gorgeous stairway up to the loft sleeping and game area. From the balcony railing you can look down into the living room and dining area. The loft features a comfortable twin over twin bunk bed. You will also find a multi-cade with 60 classic games. There is also a table for games and a flat screen television mounted on the wall. A fifth person could sleep on the living room couch if necessary. Some of the roads can be a bit steep if you aren't accustomed to the area but they are maintained by the HOA and treated in the event of inclement weather. It's always a good idea to purchase vacation insurance in the event that you cannot make the trip.

We absolutely loved this cabin!!! Would recommend to anyone! Definitely a steep climb but in a AWD or 4WD you should be fine.

Unfortunate cockroach incident, owner unwilling to issue credit for early departure due to bugs
A large roach was found in the kitchen a few hours after arrival- I shared a photo via text with the owner. That night I found another living one and a dead roach in a cabinet and I became concerned- I did find a ziploc bag of food stuck in couch that did not belong to us also. We were scheduled to stay three nights. Morning two, as we began turning on lights we discovered three separate roaches scurrying around - kitchen, on a tube of toothpaste and one ran under my suitcase. That was the deal breaker- we packed up immediately, needing to throw food away we brought with us and examine every article of clothing etc we had out of fear of bringing bugs with us. I texted the owner and advised we left early and would not be returning, and I expected to be compensated for the night I wasn’t using. I feel the vast majority of renters would have demanded much more credit than one night- I left in the morning and only requested credit for the portion of the trip I wasn’t keeping due to the bugs. Ultimately he was unwilling to issue any credit, although upon receipt of my photos of living and dead roaches in the unit VRBO issued me a credit promptly for their fee and advised me the owner was firm, stating no credit would be issued from him. Disappointed as this could have gone so differently- I tried for days to resolve this. His pest co report yielded proof of dead bugs only, which was his reasoning. You’re welcome for killing a handful of roaches for you. Rent elsewhere!
The cabin had everything we needed. Seen a big bear on the first night. The road up to the cabin was a little steep but after a few days it wasn’t too bad. You can see Piegon Forge from the back porch. Didn’t have to travel far at all.
Everything about our stay was enjoyable! The cabin was the perfect size and layout for my husband and myself and our two kiddos. The views from the wraparound porch were picturesque in the morning, and the hot tub was great for relaxing in the evening. Everyone agreed that we’ll stay longer next trip!
Had a good time at the Cabin… a bummer was dealing with the hot tub issues as we was looking forward to relaxing in the tub over the weekend did not come up to temp and seemed to be leaking. Issue was not resolved.
The location climbing up to the mountain is very steep this could pose an issue for non experienced drivers or driving in winter/wet conditions.
We have been going to Gatlinburg/Piegeon Forge for years and this was by far the best experience we’ve had. Two of our 4 days we got to experience bears and that alone was amazing. We will definitely be booking this property again.
The location was perfect. House was super cute and the setting was just what we were looking for. Location was perfect between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of a mama bear and her 3 cubs! Thank you for the perfect weekend! Highly recommend
The cabin was just as pictures in the photos .Cabin is very beautiful in person oh my the counter tops are gorgeous. The road was steep getting too the cabin neighbor was quite.Saw 3 black bears upon our arrival a mother and her 2 cubs.Didnt see them anymore after we got settled in.I would choose the cabin again.
Beautiful cabin, we have stayed here twice now. It is a good hike up to it but it is worth it when you get there. Neighbors are a good distance away for peace and privacy. Do not leave food in your car or it unlocked as there is wildlife around. We would absolutely stay here again.
We were in town for a short weekend sporting event at rocky top sports complex. Great spot for my son and I to spend the weekend together but also close enough to go back and forth when we needed to. I recommend it
Our stay was great. If you’re reading the reviews, I figure you’ve read all the nice things the owner said and want the skinny. This is a solid rental but here’s what I wish I knew beforehand:
No joke about the inclines. If it was raining or snowy I don’t know how you’d make it w/o 4wd. Not a deal breaker but if you’ve never been to this part of the world you need to mentally prepare for the feeling that your car might not make it up the hill.
The house is super cute. Very new. The back porch makes it worth the drive, I promise. Hot tub every night. We saw a bobcat, coyote, and a BEAR from the patio. You’re up pretty high fTom the ground so it was more of a zoo viewing and less of a ‘The Great Outdoors’ moment.
The kitchen is the most minimally stocked I’ve ever encountered. I expected some oil and spices. Just salt and pepper. That is all. The cookware isn’t nonstick so bring oil yourself. Bring your own DW detergent because you will need to do a nightly load if you cook and plan to have dishes to use the next day.
It’s a small home so if your family likes to end the day on the couch, it holds 3. There isn’t room for any other LR furniture. I don’t think it’s fair to say this can host 5 people unless the 5th is a tiny person who can sleep on the 3-seater couch (not a fold out). This house is essentially 1 big room, so if you’re an introvert who needs some space, plan for a long shower.
Overall, great place with a few things to make sure you know before you go!
This rental was perfect for our little family’s trip to the Pigeon Forge area. It was secluded, yet centrally located between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge which made for the perfect location. This cabin is small and cozy, but had everything we needed to make it a comfortable stay with little ones!
When it says steep hills and sharp curves its not lying but its peaceful very nice clean place love the little things like the welcome basket and all the bathroom essentials property owner was amazing
My husband and 5 y/o stayed here for a weekend and loved it! The cabin was immaculate and well-appointed with all the essentials. You are just far enough away from the neighbors to feel completely private but not isolated. Fabulous views from the back porch. It’s a slow drive winding up and down the mountain, but the drive is so beautiful we didn’t mind at all. We would definitely stay here again!
This cabin was exactly what we've always wanted when looking for a property to visit. Well appointed, the cozy feel made it easy for us to come together as a family and enjoy the long weekend. The hot tub was perfectly located on the wrap around porch, the view through the trees (the leaves hadn't come in yet) gave us an awesome view of the sunset over the mountains. The kitchen was perfectly stocked, the beds and linens were perfectly matched and well kept. The entire cabin was very clean and easy to maintain during our visit. The property owner was very easy to reach when we had questions. We are delighted with the stay we had and will definitely be back!
