Home Away From Home

We had a fantastic time at this property! The house and the surrounding property were absolutely beautiful. It was fully equipped with all the essentials and more—towels, linens, cooking utensils, and everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The attention to detail made it feel like a true home away from home.Our four-legged companion had an amazing time, especially with the spacious backyard and porch. We enjoyed taking a few walks around the peaceful neighborhood in the mornings and evenings. It's quiet, with plenty of sidewalks, making it perfect for a leisurely stroll.The only downside was the road directly behind the house. It can get a bit busy and loud at times, but if you're used to living in a suburban or metro area, it likely won’t be much of a bother.Overall, if you're in the area, I highly recommend this house for a relaxing and enjoyable stay!

Our favorite stay

I would like to start by saying that Eric went advice and beyond to ensure that our stay was amazing. The home was very clean and he did not leave out a thing to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed to enjoy our time in Raleigh. We have rented much larger homes for a lot more money that did not come close to how satisfied we were with this home. We will certainly be staying here when we come to Raleigh!!

Fantastic property! Amazingly well stocked. He went the extra mile and had snacks waiting for us when we arrived. One of our family members left something at the house. He contacted us immediately and waited for her to return to retrieve the item. Would definitely book this home again when in the Raleigh area! Thank you for a great stay!

Wonderful place to stay

My husband and I spent ten days at this lovely home and couldn’t have been happier. Beautifully decorated, exceedingly clean and very comfortable furniture. Eric provided so many thoughtful extras we don’t normally find in our rentals. The backyard and porch were perfect for enjoying the beautiful weather. The home is in a quiet walkable neighborhood and was very close to great places to hike, bike and eat. Having use of the garage and a keyless entry were quite convenient. Eric,your place is an absolute gem, thanks so much!

We came to town for a wedding and had an amazing stay. The host was great at communicating beforehand and even met us at the property when we arrived to walk us through and show us everything. It was extremely clean!

Gateway Getaway

The Gateway Getaway was extremely clean and very well stocked with everything we needed. There were snacks as well as a stocked coffee area. The appliances were all modern and worked well. The furniture was very comfortable (including the beds). The backyard is securely fenced and great for dogs. I can tell that Eric takes great pride in the appearance of his property. Eric lives close by and is quick to respond to any communications. The suburban neighborhood appeared very safe and there are exterior front surveillance cameras and one inside the garage. Unfortunately the house backs up to a fairly loud and busy road with heavy semi-truck traffic. We needed ear plugs to sleep at night. Additionally, there is a street lamp on that road that shines brightly into the master bathroom. It is so bright that we had to put a rolled towel at the bottom of the closed bathroom door to keep the light in the master bedroom at a tolerable level. With these minor adjustments, we slept well every night.

Short stay

So my family and I came for a short stay as we were supposed to fly back home out of Raleigh. Upon arrival and check in I was in absolute awe at how beautiful this home is, it’s so clean and the attention to detail was amazing! Eric had everything from a highchair for our 11 month old and a beautiful pac N play as well, fresh Half and half in the refrigerator and plenty of little snacks and little chocolates my little boys were all over. Lol 😂 Eric was super easy to communicate with and fast response. He even gave us tips on places to eat during our overnight stay. We will definitely book again when my family and I come back to visit family. Hands down the best VRBO I’ve stayed at. It definitely felt like home 🤗

Best Rental Home Ever!

We stayed at Gateway Getaway for 10 nights while our son was at Wake Forest & Duke running camps. Because of the length of stay, we really needed a place we could call home and settle in easily with our pups and remote working. Hands down, it's the best rental home we have ever stayed. The home is immaculately clean and very tastefully decorated. The kitchen offered everything we needed to cook meals - the gas grill was a huge plus. There were snacks, coffee, tea, etc. available to us upon arrival. When we arrived, the raised water/food bowls were already set up with fresh water for our pups. At that point, we knew we picked the right place! The fenced yard was so nice for our pups to stretch their legs beyond leash walks. The neighborhood was great for pup walks, too. Eric is an amazing host. Very responsive. Cared about our stay. He has thought of every little detail to welcome you into his rental home. We cannot say enough good things about our stay at Gateway Getaway! Truly deserves a 10 star rating. Thank you Eric!!

This is a great rental, this location is centrally located and has worked well for our group of 3 adult men, we are traveling IT contractors who work in the RTP area frequently. Eric has been a great host. We will stay again for sure the next time we are working in the area.

This house was amazing! My family enjoyed the house. Even our dog enjoyed the stay, once we let her in the backyard she did not want to come inside. Eric was very communicative our entire stay. We will booking this house for our next trip to Raleigh.

Home Away From Home

This place is absolutely beautiful! Eric is the most gracious, attentive, and amazing host, and I am so happy I booked his place! The home is cozy and I felt so comfortable and relaxed, even with my crazy travels! Eric went above and beyond to make my stay relaxing, and even took the time to make the stay even better after hearing about my travel troubles! There were some wonderful snacks and the beds are so comfortable! My partner and I were so impressed with the place, and we were so impressed with Eric as a host! Perfect home-away-from-home for dog owners

This is a great house for those of us who travel with our dogs. The fenced back yard was big enough for our 2 dogs to run around, and the smaller 3rd bedroom was perfect for setting up 2 crates. The property was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen had all the basics you'd need for preparing a meal, plus raised dog bowls for our furry friends. The garage is also nice for loading and unloading in any weather. I would definitely stay here again!

Our family has owned this home since it was built in 2008. Over the years, it has proven to be a convenient location in a nice neighborhood.

What makes this property unique

The house is approximately 1300 sq ft. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. There is a small porch off of the kitchen and a patio with a picnic table and umbrella. The back yard is fenced in and we are pet friendly!
