It’s the perfect location - you’re out of the traffic and noise, but you’re close to everything in Grand Junction and surrounding towns. We loved hearing the animals. It was clean. No frills, but it has all the basic necessities. Perfect getaway. I would stay here again if we come back to the area!
We had a very quick stay overnight for a bike race in Fruita. The check-in/out process was convenient and easy, which was appreciated for our short time frame. The house was cute, cozy, and comfortable.
My family and I only spent one night in this little cottage and honestly, weren't expecting too much because it was just a short stop on our road trip, but it far exceeded our expectations!
It was very clean and quiet and in an area felt very safe. We had fun showing our 2 year old the goats across the street and she loved seeing the chickens and dogs in the yard. It was also a quick drive to Palisade as well as down into Grand Junction which was nice.
If we ever stay in the Grand Junction area again, we will absolutely be staying here again! We appreciate everything!
Great experience at this property. Unit was clean, very comfortable and easy to access off I-70. Small typo in listing address otherwise would be 5 stars all across the board.
As an added bonus I was able to chat with Dawn for a while about regenerative farming and even pick a fresh peach to go with my oatmeal in the morning. Sunset was absolutely gorgeous too.
It was the best way to decompress after a long travel day on the road. We loved that it was quiet, private and tucked away from the hustle and bustle while still having eateries within minutes. Because there is only one unit, we didn’t have to worry about safety and we absolutely loved that parking is literally right in front of the unit by the door so we can easily bring our belongings in and out. The bed and sofa bed were so comfortable, we got the rest we needed to hit the road again the next day. The hosts Ron and Dawn were so very helpful and welcoming. We had a blast seeing all the farm animals too! Will definitely be back anytime we are passing through again.
This review is a bit different. We were not able to make it for our stay due to a family emergency else where but the communication with Ron was wonderful. He messaged before our stay and everything would have been so easy. When I messaged him that we could not make it I was nervous about him not being understanding but it was the complete opposite. He was super nice and I hope that we can make it back to GJ and stay at his little cottage.
Our family of 5 (including 3 kids ages 6, 3, and 1) needed a place to stay for one night. We came across this property and loved it! The bed was extremely comfortable. They also had a pull-out sofa perfect for my older 2 children and were even kind enough to already have it made. Ron had also sent a message before we arrived asking if we would like him to have their pack-n-play and high chair set up in advance. So thoughtful!
It was about 95 degrees outside during our stay here. We had set the in-window AC unit to 72 degrees and it was able to keep the property at that temperature without issue. The kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed (and more!). They even left us a basket of snacks! I would highly recommend a stay at this property. A special "Thank you!" to Dawn (one of the owners) who came to greet us when we arrived. She was very friendly and made us feel right at home.
