About this property

Cozy home in El Camino Village. 20 Minutes from the beach and LAX

Come stay at a quiet neighborhood that we have chosen to raise our family in! Due to family reasons, we are currently living in Japan, but plan on moving back one day. In the meantime, we are renting it out for others to also enjoy a nice relaxing stay while travelling in the Socal area.

Our home is conveniently located southwest of downtown Los Angeles, and only a 20 min taxi ride from LAX. It is a relatively safe neighborhood, where I often took my kids for walks around the block in the afternoon. There is a super market and 7-11 within walking distance (8 min).

You can also enjoy a leisurely walk down to Alondra park to enjoy the view. Be sure to also check out the Splash Pad and skate park when you are there. If you are a golf fanatic, the Alondra Golf course is a 18 hole par 3 course which is right next to the park.

If you need to go out further, there's also easy access to public transport. To get on the Metro, it is a 5 min walk to the bus station, 15 min ride on the bus to get to the Metro Crenshaw Station. The Metro can take you up to Hollywood for some sightseeing or out to Santa Monica to enjoy a stroll along the beach.

Our home is a cozy house with 2 bedrooms, and 1 bathroom. The kitchen has all the essentials to cook a meal at home. In the living room we have a 55" Toshiba TV hooked up to a ROKU with access to Netflix and Amazon Prime. There is also a table for you to setup your mobile workstation. 300Mbps internet connection connected to Linksys Velop Mesh routers provide fast internet anywhere in the house.

Needed upgrades

Overall the stay was alright. My friend and felt safe in the neighborhood. Certain things weren’t available that would have been nice to have like trash bags for the trash can and paper towels or napkins. There was absolutely no door, dresser, or closet space with hangers for my clothes in one of the bedrooms off the kitchen. Water leaked from that bedroom’s ceiling annd I had to place a towel on the floor to soak it up as it dripped all night during the rain. And the door to the backyard from that bedroom was unlocked, posing a potential security risk. The hot water in the bathroom sink didn’t work. The waste basket was completely cracked down one side and broken. This home should have been taken off of the rental until some of the repairs were done. The couch in the living room was quite uncomfortable and should be replaced.

Great for short stay

Needed a spot for weekend business trip and Rams game. Nice small house. 2 bedrooms. Small kitchen fully equipped. Washer and dryer. Great for short weekend stay. Nothing fancy, but exactly what I needed for a solo trip. Large smart TV in the living room. Good wifi. Large backyard, fire pit and grill. Neighborhood near Marine and Crenshaw was nice and safe. Neighbors were friendly as well. Would definitely use again for a short solo or couple's trip. Host helpful and easy to contact and responsive.

Sport Venue Trip

Met our needs. Clean and well stocked Nice neighborhood. Communication with host was good. We could not get the furnace turned on but eventually used an alternate heat source. Good location for the three sports venues we attended.

I have enjoyed my mini vacay staying in this lovely vrbo the host is very accommodating and reponsive and the neighborhood is quiet. The place is nice and neat and the fans provided the right amount of air needed for the heat! I definitely see myself staying here again 🙂

Peaceful and safe home in great area

45 mins to downtown LA And hollywood (the distance is small but the traffic is busy!) Suited our needs well. Great to have washer/drier on our road trip... the lounge kitchen and bedroom 1 were all perfect. Bedroom 2 needs some attention/redecoration but we were informed of this the day before our arrival. Its a good place to.stay for 2 or 4 people, and only 30 mins to.disney in good traffic.

Die Unterkunft hat uns sehr gut gefallen und auch der Kontakt mit den Eigentümern hat gut geklappt. Die Unterkunft selbst ist von den Hotspots von Los Angeles unter Berücksichtigung des hohen Verkehrsaufkommens in der Großstadt etwas weit entfernt. Nichtsdestotrotz hatten wir eine schöne Zeit in der Unterkunft.

Nice price but

The house seems rundown looks good outside very convincing. There’s no AC just fans… sheets/ towels looks like rags. Second bedroom does not have a door ceiling has opening you can see ceiling pipes of some sort. I’m not sure why it was rated high but that’s what got us to rent it. Cobwebs everywhere.

Extended weekend in LA

The property was in a good location central to many activities. Easy access to Sofi Stadium and Kia Forum. We felt very safe in the neighbourhood. The host was responsive to communications. The only downside was the property needs a bit of maintenance. This impacted the quality of stay in the second bedroom.

A great place for a trip to L.A.

My son and I stayed here for a week in mid-October of 2023. The location was great for our purposes. I really liked the off-street parking in the driveway and the washer & dryer (with a steam function) were very useful. Communication with the host was great. Would consider this place again for a future trip.

Great place to stay!

Very nice simple home. And at a great price! Has everything you need. Would stay there again when I’m visiting family! Warning to anyone who sleeps in the living room with the heater on, the heater makes clicking noises making it hard to sleep. But that’s not anything that can be fixed.

Little details were neglected such is smoke detectors not working, leaky roof, uncomfortable sofa, flat pillows. Nice neighborhood, plenty of light, nice backyard but chair pillows for patio furniture not available. I wish that the listing had warned that no street parking is allowed without a permit. It was nice to have a washer and dryer available. Many restaurants nearby. The TV image had a bluish tint all the time.

This place was really nice. Despite some hiccups the host was really communicative and responsive though they are located in Japan. I would book again in future!
