This grand 2800 sq. ft. apartment was home to the original Gundersen clinic, now a nationally recognized healthcare system in the La Crosse community. The building was constructed in 1870 and is on the list of national historic buildings in downtown La Crosse.
Located just steps from the La Crosse Convention Center, shops, and restaurants, the apartment is perfect for a holiday party, wedding party, work retreat, reunion, or other special event. Reach out to discuss your specific interests.
Some highlights include:
- A spacious and fully equipped kitchen including everything you need for a casual evening or a formal sit down dinner.
- Three large bedrooms including a King room with a new ensuite bath, a River room with one queen bed, and the Gundersen room with two queen beds. (The Gundersen room shares a wall with a bar so this room receives loud noise at night.)
- A moody Parlour that’s perfect for celebrating or relaxing contains a 60" smart TV, a chess and checkers pub table, and a vintage bar with barware.
- A wedding room that’s perfect for getting ready for the big event in your life. It’s versatile arrangement allows it to be used as a private office, a place for your morning coffee, or a meditation room.
- A large living room with an original brick fireplace with gas insert.
- Window air conditioner units are located in each bedroom as well as fans throughout.
- Licensed by the city of La Crosse
The apartment is located on the 2nd floor. Guests should be comfortable climbing a flight of stairs to access the apartment.
The apartment is located in the heart of downtown nightlife near many bars and restaurants. On busy nights, the bars are loud and you will hear noise until bar time. If you're looking for a quiet stay, this may not be the best place to stay.
Covered parking can be found within a block at the La Crosse Center Ramp at 201 Jay Street. Parking is paid from 6am-6pm. The cost is $1/hour with a daily maximum of $8. Nights and weekends are free.
