Cliffside Retreat is located at the end of the road, perched atop Tropaco Point. This lofted efficiency features stunning, panoramic views of a Caribbean paradise.
Watch pelicans diving into the sea as you enjoy your morning coffee on the open, screened-in porch, and enjoy the sound of gentle waves as you fall asleep in the comfortable lofted bedroom. Incredible sunsets included! If you love the serenity and the relaxing sound of the ocean, you've found your dream vacation destination.

THE SPACE
This amazing studio efficiency is located just below the main property. Walk down the outdoor stairs and find yourself sitting mere feet above the ocean. Catch the most stunning views of Hull Bay, Dorothea Point, and Brass Cay. This cozy, rustic, seaside loft is perfect for the solo traveler or a quiet couple.
This is what you can expect to find upon your arrival at Cliffside Retreat.
DOWNSTAIRS
- The outdoor shower is on the right side, at the bottom of the outdoor stairs.
- In front of that you'll find the lovely screened-in dining area and the entrance to the studio.
- From the dining area, walk through to the full kitchen and coffee bar.
- Just next to the full kitchen you'll find the cozy living space with a large TV and the bathroom with a beautiful stand-up shower.
UPSTAIRS
- Climb up the stairs to reach the bedroom with a comfortable queen-size bed.
- A second smaller TV is available upstairs, in front of the bed, along with a full closet and a large dresser.
- Enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the sunsets and the sea from bed!

NEIGHBOURHOOD
This seaside efficiency is located in the local neighborhood of Hull Bay, a small community, which centers around Hull Bay Beach. Its beauty lies in its tranquil, laid-back natural feel. It features premiere snorkeling in the summer and Atlantic waves in the winter. Hull Bay Beach also hosts an amazing restaurant, "The Shack at the Hideaway"!
Enjoy an adventurous, 20-minute walk down to Hull Bay Beach from the studio, or if you're packing lunch and some gear, drive down in less than 5 minutes!
This studio is located in a remote and quiet area of St. Thomas and driving is required to reach any destination (except Hull Bay Beach ;)

- The Cyril E King airport is about a 20-minute drive
- Reach downtown, Charlotte Amalie, in about 15 minutes
- The east side of St. Thomas or the ferry in the Red Hook area is about a 30-minute drive.
Cliffside Retreat is located in a very remote part of St. Thomas. Please note that taxis will not drive to this area and taxis are not permitted on this property at any time. A rental vehicle is 100% needed to stay in this location.

OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT CLIFFSIDE RETREAT
1. The main house is off-limits to guests. You might occasionally see one of the owners or a pet caretaker coming and going upstairs, but, please do not disturb or knock on the door at any time.
2. You will see cats around and on the property. Some are feral and some are pets. Please do not disturb any cats, feed them, or invite them into the studio.
3. Some solar power is provided. This means if there is a power outage on St. Thomas, which is an occasional occurrence, you will continue to have full power during daylight hours. In the event of a power outage, overnight (or when it's dark) power can not be guaranteed.
4. WI-FI service on the island can be spotty and irregular at times.
5. Taxi vehicles & services are not allowed at this location. You must have a rental vehicle to stay in this location.
6. This studio requires using a good amount of stairs. Stairs are used both in and outside of the studio.
7.  We DO NOT accept third-party reservations. If you are booking under your name, you must be present during the reservation dates.
