Peaceful perfection
We loved everything about this property. We spent more time at the cabin than we had planned because it was just so beautiful, enjoying time on the deck taking in the views. We most definitely want to come back and stay again.

Sibling Fun at the Fluffy Hippo's Nest
My sisters and I enjoyed our stay at Lana and Sergei's wonderfully appointed nest in the Mountains. The three bedroom cabin had everything you need for a family stay. The beds were VERY comfy and the scenery divine as you awoke at 8500 feet to stunning views of the local foothills and the Sangre de Cristo mountains. We stayed during a mini heat wave but the temps at the house never went above 75 degrees. We highly recommend the Fluffy Hippo Nest if your staying in the area.

Beautiful with breathtaking view!
The house was beautiful with everything we could ever need! Seriously lots of extras that you don’t normally see in a rental. Forget your toothbrush? There’s one for you! The view was amazing and Lana was super responsive if we had any questions. We would definitely stay here again!

Birds, Views, Colorado Backroads
The personality, personalization, and sentimental qualities that the hosts put into our stay was overwhelmingly evident and sincere. Took Keebler Pass and backroads the entire way there and back! Stunning views and we have traveled the country. The hummingbirds, wild turkeys, and birds were incredible. Home was tastefully decorated and stocked with more than you would have at most rentals. Couldn’t ask for a better place! Sincerest appreciation for the home and then if that wasn’t enough, they gave travel

Hummingbirds
We had such an amazingly relaxing few days! The property was beautiful, the house was great! The kids had a blast playing hide and seek while we enjoyed the porch watching the hummingbirds. We definitely recommend this home to anyone who wants to be remotely located but still have the comforts of home. Thank you Lana for the great stay!

Xmas 2022 Ski Trip
The property is very nice, we had a wonderful experience. Location is a little remote, but we loved it. Drive to and from Monarch was about 45 minutes (with good weather and clear roads). We had 6 teenagers and 2 parents, and there was plenty of room for everyone. There was lots of hot water for showers and good wifi coverage. The owners are very easy to work with, responsive to questions. Our trip was fantastic, we would definitely rent this property again!

Large beautiful home in stunning rustic mountain location
This is a large and beautiful home with the most magnificent view. The location is remote but this is a community with other houses you can barely see due to the spacing of the properties. It is a high forested area and is on 6 acres. This night sky is black with glistening stars. It is a quiet and peaceful area. My husband and I and our little dog enjoyed this home so much. Some days we just stayed at the property and relaxed while looking at the wildlife that passed by. We were able to visit all of the surrounding towns too—Salida, Buena Vista, Westcliffe, Wetmore, etc. and enjoy the home in the evenings. All amenities are available to enjoy. There are extras too. This spacious home is a winner and the host, Lana, is very communicative and gives you complete information on location of various sites for visiting, eating, and exploring. She is very detailed oriented. The description of the property with the amenities is totally accurate. We would have no problem in staying here again.
