Welcome to Carolina Tide! Are you ready to escape and make memorable memories? You’ve come to the right place. Surf City is a perfect location to plan your coastal vacation. Carolina Tide is located less than a mile from the bridge which provides easy access to our cozy home. The bridge is also known for beautiful walking and biking views. Nestled close to town, you will find dinner, shopping or grocery runs accessible! Clean home, stellar views, backyard paradise, spacious living and close, direct beach access await you at our family friendly home.

Our home is newly decorated and fully stocked with all the amenities you will need to enjoy a comfortable and relaxing vacation with family and friends. You will have many options during your stay. Sit by the pool, take in the beautiful views on the porch, hit the beach with our private access or hang in our backyard oasis! Our home features 3 bedrooms on on the first floor. 1 King, 1 Queen and bunk beds that include 4 full beds. Upstairs has 1 King and an open spacious family living. A modern kitchen ready for lazy breakfast meals or cocktails with plenty of seating for quality time. Our downstairs has a pull out couch. Carolina Tide has a total sleeping capacity of 10-11 people.

Fantastic

The property was fantastic! The pool was clean and ready to swim, and the outdoor bar area was perfect for the adults to hang out while kids swam! Having to climb two flights of stairs to reach the kitchen was slightly annoying, and the nearby roads were busier than we'd like for walking around with the kids, but those were minor and didn't impact our enjoyment of the property overall. I can't come up with any other real negatives.

Beautiful Home

My Husband, son and I planned a last minute getaway and stayed at this beautiful home. The pictures of the home are spot on and the backyard with the heated pool was wonderful. The home was located in a perfect spot and close to all of the restaurants and shops. There are beach cruisers available that we used multiple times per day to ride around the area. Jeff is also very responsive, helpful and nice. Will 100% be staying here again

Perfect house

This was the perfect house for our group. It has split levels and room for everyone. There was plenty to do at the house with the game room, pool and a quick private path to the beach. We will be coming back to this house if we are ever back in the area.

Backyard Bliss

We loved our stay at Carolina Tides! The pictures represented the property well, and that back yard -the reason we booked the property - was perfect for our family! We loved that it took only 3 minutes to get to the amazing beach, but we spent so much time in the beautiful pool area with our small grandchildren. This property is good for all ages (basketball, foosball, cornhole, etc). We could not have been happier! The hosts were excellent. Communication was quick and easy and check-in and check-out were a breeze! We highly recommend Carolina Tides!

Great property

The house is great, located so close the the beach. The pool is a game changer for young kids, we spent everyday in it! The host are super accommodating having from having everything you need in the kitchen to towels and chairs for the beach!

Great family vacation!!

The house was absolutely perfect for our family vacation. We had three families with a total of 6 kids ranging from 11-3. This was our first trip to Topsail. The back yard was perfect, the kids loved the pool and the outdoor TV. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. My only recommendation would be to include the layout of the house by floor. It would make it easier for planning on where to place younger kids and parents. Overall, we LOVED our stay, the hosts were wonderful and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend!!

Jeff and Karen‘s home is absolutely gorgeous! The house is beautifully decorated and well-stocked with everything you might need. The outdoor space is perfection and the beach is just a short walk from the house! Our family group of 10 people had a wonderful week!!

July 4th Birthday and Fireworks

This property is close to the beach with private access. The backyard is delightful with a play are and pool. Great location for families. Staying over the 4th of July -the front porch was perfect for viewing the fireworks without leaving home. A little surprised not to have beach towels and toilet paper - but contacted the owner who responded immediately to explain this was an oversight. The bathrooms were a little dated but the occupant of the basement area was able to use the hot/cold shower in the cabana.

Family Vacation 2024

This was the perfect place to stay. Kitchen was well stocked with the necessary cookware. Plenty of very soft towels/washcloths and beach towels. We didn’t have to think about anything, even provided beach chairs. The back yard and pool was paradise. Hammocks great for napping! The owners communicated with us so well. We will be staying here again! Best week ever! 10/10!!!

Annual Family Beach Trip

The house was just as pictured, including the amazing backyard which we took full advantage of on a somewhat rainy day. The kitchen was well-stocked, the living/dining area roomy enough for all of us, and the linens provided were top-notch. The distance to the beach was an easy block and 1/2 which we were happy about because the Memorial Weekend traffic on the island was crazy! Jeff and Karen were helpful, and responsive. This was our family's 17th annual Memorial Day beach vacation and our 1st time in Surf City. The beach was beautiful and everyone we met was friendly, would highly recommend this location.

Spring Break 2024

Wonderful! We had 4 adults and 3 kids, and this house fit us perfectly. Incredibly well equipped kitchen (we made Easter dinner with ham and turkey, and did not have to buy additional aluminum baking pans). Grilled out as well, grill is in great shape. Backyard is impeccable, and the pool was fantastic and clean. Plenty of towels, bathroom and pool. Everyone had a great time and we would definitely rent this home again!

Family Vacation

The majority of our time was spent in the backyard pool area. Pool was excellent! Landscaping was beautiful. Best backyard in the neighborhood, it was an oasis! Short walk to the beach. Bunk beds were spacious for all kids, of which there were many! Would recommend this property.

Vaca with family and friends

Two families, adults and kids, spent a week here with no issues. It is one of the best properties we’ve stayed at and I mean it. They provided beach chairs which saved us from hauling ours down and a couple games. The teenagers and adults had a blast playing basketball against one another. The pool and yard are absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed our time so much we asked to extend it but the property was booked. If you stay here you will have zero regrets. Pool, yard, basketball, open floor concept on the main floor and a quick walk to the beach. Only negative, and it’s not even the property, is our friends SUV started on fire while driving back to NY. There was nothing left to their SUV and they lost all their souvenirs.

A truly special place

As a family of five (three children under 11), this place was perfect. Arrival was easy, hosts accommodating, and the house and property in excellent condition. Every section of the house and backyard is set up well for entertainment and convenience: Plenty of smart TVs scattered around the house, basketball and foosball table, beautiful kitchen and eating area, comfy couches, front/back decks, pool, bar, fridges in convenient locations, outdoor shower, beach rinsing and storage station, cornhole, beach access...the list just keeps going. The backyard is really where this place shines - you feel like you're staying at a private resort. While the beach was super easy to get to from the house, our family spent majority of our time in the pool and backyard. Thank you to Jeff/Karen for helping us out and answering any questions promptly. You have a special place here in Surf City. Thank you! No question this will be our number one choice when we come back.

That backyard made it worth it!

The backyard was perfect for a vacation alone, let alone dinners and entertaining! The pool was so clean, the backyard space was so serene, and the outdoor kitchen was perfect! The house was comfortable for us (6 adults, 2 kids) but the kids room was definitely the nicest since it was the only room with an attached bathroom. Would definitely rebook, for the backyard alone!

Outstanding Property

We stayed in this beautiful home as a family of four with another family of four. The accommodations are unmatched in the area. The key feature is the stunning backyard. A private pool with custom bar area, hammocks and bean bag toss. We enjoyed the backyard tremendously. The backyard is reason enough to book this home. The interior is roomy and well-maintained. The four kids loved the basement with basketball toss and foosball table. It was clean upon our arrival. There is ample parking, and it’s a short walk to the beach, restaurants, stores, etc. Communication with the owners was easy and responsive. We would not hesitate to book this property again and highly recommend.

Why they chose this property


We chose Carolina Tide in Surf City because it is close to all of the restaurants, shops, and 'things to do. The backyard is private with private beach access available only to the guests of Carolina Tide. Our Family has spent many summers vacationing in Surf City and always wanted a place of our own at the beach. Carolina Tide is close to everything yet still quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. Also, waking up each morning with stellar views of the sound while drinking a coffee is a plus!

What makes this property unique

We have rented many homes and we built this home which includes all of the amenities we have enjoyed throughout the years. We built the pool and cabana in the backyard which in our family is a must. The men in our family love to cook and serve while the kids are playing in the pool. The game room is a plus for the kids as well as they have their own space to play various games and when things get turned up the adults join in as well. If you want a quiet space; just walk down the path in the backyard and find a hammock under the shade of the native live oaks. Practice your cornhole or chipping skills in the synthetic lawn on the northeast corner of the property. This house truly has it all and of course the beach is just steps away.
