About this property

Enjoy private acre and a half with year-round flowing stream nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Bring your lawn chairs and let your children splash in the stream while enjoying the 2-person infrared sauna under the gazebo. Walk or bike to Golden Valley’s Yogi Bear Jellystone campground, ride the mountain coaster, hike to the look-out tower or enjoy the pool/water park. With day passes for $37 you can enjoy all the perks of family entertainment while ending your days in your private retreat. This is beautifully maintained with several places to cook, play or enjoy the deer and fire flies!

You Do Not need to buy day passes to yogi bear park next door in order to eat at the restaurants there. Drive through the back gate or get a free front gate visitor pass to eat at the restaurants.

Although the property is only an acre and a half, there are no visible neighbors insight so it feels like so much more!

Lake Lure is 50 minutes via car from site.
Chimney rock is 55 minutes.
South Mountain State Park with hiking and waterfalls is 33 minutes.
If you like to hunt, the South Mountain game lands state park is 16 minutes away.

We are a family of 5 that live in Jacksonville, Florida. Although we are blessed living 30 minutes from the ocean, we love to escape to the mountains in North Carolina as much as possible. We love building memories with our children and creating opportunities for other families to do the same.

Why they chose this property

The property is super quiet and peaceful. There are no neighbors in sight. There is a mountain side and flat land with a stream separating the two. There is lots of wild life, such as, birds, deer and fireflies. Our kids have found turtles in the creek and it's their favorite place to play. We absolutely love going next door to the Yogi Bear campground to ride the mountain coaster, look at the views from the look-out tower and splash in the water park. There are too many activities to list for families to enjoy including the restaurants.

What makes this property unique

It has a fully screened gazebo with an infra-red sauna. It has 4 different cooking areas to choose from, whether it is the indoor kitchen inside the RV, the outdoor kitchen outside of the RV, the park grill or the fire pit with the grill. It has a year-round flowing stream. If you come in the summer time the fire flies are very unique and special.
