About this property
Ideally situated in Puerto Jimenez on the beautiful Osa Peninsula
An extremely comfortable, seventy-five square meter, 2-bedroom, 1 1/2-bathroom apartment that is ideal for both long and short-term stays, located at Chosa Manglar Hotel in the heart of Puerto Jimenez. Each bedroom has a private entry, with a double-locked door, AC, overhead fan, a double bed, a safe, and shelves for personal use. The property is for authentic people looking for a comfortable and contemporary tropical immersion at a reasonable price.
The apartment also offers a 200 MB WIFI connection, original artwork mostly from Central and South America, a well-equipped kitchen with an eating bar, a living room, and a private bathroom. A one-half bathroom is adjacent to the exterior hallway for when you are using the outdoor lounge. Two Sofa beds can accommodate an additional two guests. The bedrooms can be reconfigured to your liking with advance notice for stays of three days or longer, just let us know ahead of time.
Guests have free access to a large outdoor lounge or lanai with a beautiful 20-foot-high tropical hardwood ceiling overlooking a private garden where monkeys and sloths pass by using the giant bamboo planting in the center of the garden as their natural bridge. It's a wonderful place to enjoy a refreshing outdoor garden shower. And finally, don't forget to visit the rooftop deck and get up close to some of the local fauna. Enjoy morning coffee and nighttime star gazing, either is perfect!
Many animals live on-site while others traverse in the morning and again in the afternoon. It's a great 'birding hotspot' with 85 species observed to date. Common wildlife sightings on the property include all four species of Monkey, Kinkajou, Raccoon, Coatis, Armadillo, Anteater, Sloth, Raptors, Ocelots, Toucans, Scarlet Macaw, Crocodile, Cayman, Lizards, Snakes, Beetles, Hummingbirds, Butterflies, Herons, Iguanas & various other Birds, Insects, Reptiles & Amphibians.
We strive diligently to maintain a healthy level of cleanliness & comfort in this crazy, wild spot between the primeval Osa forest of Corcovado & the abundant, tropical waters of the "Golfo Dulce" & Pacific Ocean.
When you need a break from the wildlife, kick back and enjoy the colorful surroundings & tropical amenities. The outdoor garden lounge has been designed to offer lots of physical space for all visitors. The fire pit is often used by guests for an impromptu BBQ. Try ordering food from our neighbors. Menus can be found at the indoor bar or take a stroll with easy access to more than fifteen eating establishments in town. Many will deliver for a small fee if you decide to hang out in the gardens.
You can walk everywhere in town, so a car is not required. Chosa Manglar Hotel offers effortless immersion into a tropical paradise, so please enjoy it as much as we have over the years.
