Sit out on the fantastic, furnished deck and take in panoramic ocean views from this beautiful, two-story, Tillamook beach house! Nature enthusiasts will be thrilled to learn whales have been spotted from the deck, along with bald eagles and numerous other shorebirds nesting at the nearby Three Arch Rocks Wildlife Refuge. This home is just a short walk from Oceanside Beach State Park and "the Tunnel" under Maxwell Point, only three miles from the historic Cape Meares Lighthouse and its neighboring Octopus Tree, and within a dozen miles of downtown Tillamook, the legendary Tillamook Creamery, and the incredible Tillamook Air Museum.

Prepare anything from your morning coffee to elaborate, full-course dinners in the well-equipped kitchen, and then dine in the cozy breakfast nook or in the more formal dining area - perfect for mealtimes or rainy day board games! After meals, switch on the gas fireplace and settle into the main living area to stream your favorite TV channels, or head down to the lower level through its separate entrance which leads to a stone patio with an ocean view, crafting table, and garden path. While you're there, you'll also find an additional living space with a second TV, an electric fireplace, a table and chairs for your laptops, and a convenient wet bar.

Additional amenities and features at this home include high-speed internet access, a gas grill, firewood for your beach fires, and a private washer/dryer to help you keep your laundry under control during your stay.

Panoramic ocean views

If you are a person who prefers to hear and watch the waves rather than jump them, then this home with its cozy fireplace and large deck is for you. The beach is a ten minute walk away and the hill climb is steep. Kitchen is fully stocked with tools and pans.

Third Stay - Views Still Impress

This was our third time staying here. The view is still very impressive. The house itself is comfortable throughout. The one challenge last year was the old smell of cigarette smoking that has pervaded the woodwork and ceiling tiles. It was still there this year, but it seemed to have lessened We found the downstairs bed more comfortable. As others have mentioned, if you are wanting to stay put, you should probably stock up on groceries in Tillamook before heading out to Oceanside as there are few shopping options in the area. We had some chowder and fish tacos from the Oceanside Surf Co. one day for lunch and the food was excellent. Again--the view and the deck... Hard to beat.

Good value for the price - lots of character!

Vintage 50s home but with updated appliances and furniture and nicely kept up. Panoramic view. Loved the Rube Goldberg rain catcher and the in-house optical illusion. Parking was a bit challenging - driveway off Maxwell Mtn is closest to house but kind of steep and uneven and you have to back out uphill. We ended up unloading passengers and bags at the top of it and then parking down below on Chinook and walking up the stairs

It was fine.

Nothing special - everything was acceptable. Kitchen (and kitchen supplies) bit underwhelming. Don’t forget to pull the pirate.

Lovely Quiet Getaway with Ocean and Garden Views

Love the mid century mod design and blue themes throughout the home. Lots of pretty, artistic, and funny touches from the owners to match home's age and theme. Look for cute surprises. Ocean views on the deck or hillside garden views on the lower floor plus lots of chairs provided. Everything was labeled well and easy to find; it's clear these owners know how to help guests. On the big hill with other homes, so very quiet and peaceful. Faces south so you see sunrise and sunset, but not too directly. If you have mobility issues, be aware there are stairs to go up (from street parking) or down (from garage parking) in order to enter the home. We saw a bald eagle. Maybe you will too?

View! Amazing! Great price too

We had a great time! Amazing view for morning coffee and relaxing on the couch. Everything you need to cook is there. Lots of extra blankets and towels. Other than the view my favorite part was back porch area on the lower level, so many cool rocks and shells to go through. I love that. Kid friendly. Moon light fixture by the bunk beds that have built in drawers. I wish there had been a dresser downstairs. We will be back next year. Thank you! The price, the house and the view were perfect for our needs. PS this is a very small town and you’ll want to do your food shopping in Tillamook.

Incredible

This was such a cute spot. Exactly as advertised. The height on the hill is perfect, and the proximity to the beach is amazing. Thanks for the great stay.

Beautiful views from the large deck!!!

The house itself is a fun 50's or 60's style beach house with one bedroom, kitchen, dining room, laundry, bathroom, and living room on the main floor. The lower level includes a second sitting room and a bedroom with a really comfortable queen bed and bunkbeds. The kitchen was very functional with everything one would need for most kinds of cooking and probably more than is necessary. The countertop burners are situated looking out of the adorable breakfast nook with vintage Formica table, making the act of slaving over a stove pretty magical since the entire time cooking one can stare out at the ocean. The washer and dryer are nice to have when visiting the beach for more than a few days. The living room has very comfortable couches and a nice television, but we mostly turned our eyes out through the wall of windows to see the view. Probably the most impressive part of this rental is the deck. It is a newer deck with new and solid framing and clean, new composite decking. We were here in July, so the house got just a little warm in the day, but it was easy to cool it off by opening windows to allow the ocean breeze through. From the deck, there is an amazing panoramic view of the Oceanside beach straight ahead, Netarts bay to the south, and Storm Rock slightly to the north--if standing at one edge of the deck one can even see Seal Rock and Finley Rock. We had one morning with a bit of rain, but the roof covers about a third of the deck, making it still enjoyable to sit out even with a little rain. The bonus with the rain is that the gutter system from the roof pours water down a little Rube Goldberg machine that spins wheels and directs the water through a series of traps. We didn't hike down into town, but it is very doable if one doesn't mind the hill. Honestly, once we settled in, it was hard to want to do anything other than rest in one of the provided chairs on the deck and just look out at the ocean while sipping a coffee in the morning and a double hazy IPA in the afternoon. For the more active, I saw a whole stack of body boards in the garage for guests to use to go surfing on the beach, and there was ample amounts of firewood for a beach fire (no need for wood in the house as the upstairs fireplace uses gas and the downstairs "fireplace" is electric). The house was well cleaned when we arrived and there were ample bedding, towels, etc. The wifi was very stable and very fast. As an older house, there is a bit of thirty year old cigarette smell which is common in older homes. It didn't bother us and wasn't symptomatic of any problems with cleaning, but I know that some people are very sensitive to that smell, so I'm mentioning it. It is an older place and it isn't fancy, but it is incredibly comfortable. It felt a little like staying at grandma's house, and I mean that in the best possible sense (if grandma had a house with an incredible ocean view). We've already booked it again for an anniversary trip.

Great place

Very comfortable and clean, gorgeous views. We only used the main upstairs floor, which was perfect for just the 2 of us. The only slight downside is the narrow road and driveway, and the metal roof when it started raining. But overall very happy.

Multi generational long weekend

Rented this sweet home for my mom, my kids (7 and 5) and myself to spend a long weekend. Pros: The house was fantastic and had just about everything we could’ve needed. The view is breathtaking. It is an older home but has had many updates. It’s just the right amount of beach kooky. There’s binoculars, games, and books for adults. We did a lot of cooking and had everything we needed to prepare our meals. Nearby beach access. Fast WIFi. Cons: It was a little difficult to locate the driveway using google maps. We drove around a little before we figured it out. There only seems to be one style of pillow in the home and it killed my neck. Luckily, there is a Fred Meyer within 10 miles where I was able to buy a suitable pillow. I had no cell reception in the home and limited coverage in the neighborhood (WiFi made up for it). Note: This is a tiny community that is built into a hillside. The streets are narrow and hilly. The house has stairs to access from above and below. The place is probably best for people that do not have many mobility difficulties. We loved our stay and would come again!

Perfect little getaway

This place was the perfect little stay - it’s affordable, cozy, and has a beautiful view. I mainly wanted to book this place from seeing its gorgeous view of Oceanside, but it has so much more to offer. There were plenty of beach chairs, board games, nice fuzzy blankets, and a lovely fireplace on the upper floor. The kitchen also has almost everything you would need for a short stay/ eating in. The downstairs was also very cute with a separate living room and bedroom. Overall very happy with this trip and will plan on sharing this location with my friends as I had such a great time!
