My husband, our 8 and 9 year old boys and 3 small dogs all loved this cabin! It was rustic and charming but with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It was clean and welcoming upon our arrival with cute touches like the dishtowel being tied in a bow and the ends of the rolls of toilet paper being shaped like roses! Communication with the host Nancy was excellent. She responded promptly and helpful anytime we reached out and even answered our questions about the local area like the best swimming spot for kids. The only concern we had was that our small dogs found ways out of the fence in both the small and large yard. Our dogs are all under 20 pounds with the smallest being only 10 pounds. I think the fence would be secure for a larger dog. Nancy did say she would be looking into securing the fence better but if you are traveling with little dogs, I recommend you walk the fence and watch your dog closely at first to make sure they can not get out. Still all in all we absolutely loved our stay and are already planning to come back next year!

Cozy Snowy Weekend

Spent 2 nights here at 1949 Maltby Cabin with my family and our 2 dogs. We had about 12 inches of snow during our stay so we spent most of the time at the cabin. Plenty of yard space for doggos to run around and enjoy the snow, as well as a playground for our 2 littles. Nancy was quick to check us in and made themselves readily available for any of our needs. They even had someone come and plow the snow in the drive way and walk way for us. There was wood for us to keep a fire going inside all day and kept the house super cozy. There was also an extra fold away cot in in the master bedroom which was super helpful so we could put our toddler to sleep in the same room as us. We should have stayed another day!

Cozy Place to Rest

We had such a wonderful time here! We spent a night at Snow Valley night skiing and then half a day at Bear Mountain skiing as well. We were so exhausted by the end of each go, but a nice warm fire and a bath were perfect here! We had all the amenities we needed! Just the right size for us, and our pup even had a delightful time in the backyard running around with all the open space! We would certainly love to come again!!

Not our first time to stay in the cabin and we simply LOVE the cabin and Nancy. Communication with Nancy is top notch - as perfect as can be. We like the old feeling of the cabin. Dogs LOVE the yard. Can’t wait to be back again in few months. (❤️)

The cabin had a homey cozey feeling. Really liked the size of the yard which had plenty of level parking and was fenced in. The cabin looks small from the outside but is actually very roomy inside. I would definitely recommend this cabin to others.

LOVED the cabin

We loved the cabin and Nancy. Nancy was extremely helpful and communication with her was quick and easy. Cabin was everything we could have asked for. Super charming and just simply cute. Two bedrooms upstairs and nice living room / kitchen downstairs. Backyard is fully fenced and allowed our dogs to have zoomies all over it. We definitely will be back and hopefully Nancy will be still managing the place :)
