The cabin was clean comfortable and a quiet place to relax between excursions to Giant City State Park, Giant City Stables, and Ferne Clyffe State Park. The cabin was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. We appreciated that the people in the other cabins were friendly and respectful. If we ever travel to southern Illinois again, this is definitely where we will stay.
We stayed here for a long weekend and it was great and exactly what we were looking for. We have already talked about possibly renting a few to have some family members come with us.
Wife, dog and I came down to get away and relax. We hiked the trails in Giant City S.P. We enjoyed the scenery and the stay. This was our 2nd stay at this cabin complex. Neighbors in the cabins were friendly.
True to pics, super clean, soft water! Thanks for a great weekend! It was our 51st fall drive trip.

The property both inside & out are so comfortable. The pictures do not do it justice. Steve was more than great! Our pup chewed the remote to the tv & he was so understanding. We’re just sending him a replacement. No stress or chaos about it. Super place & owner!
We were here for a funeral. Steve was very gracious and answered any questions we had. Everything was clean and operational. Bedrooms are very spacious and the living room furniture is very comfy!
The cabin was very nice and I liked where it was located. We were very comfortable and really enjoyed out stay. I would recommend this place and I will be back. I need to look on your website and see the different sizes of your cabins. Looking to book one for 5 women and a baby.
This cabin was the perfect size for 4 people. Loved the enclosed porch for our dog. Used the grill to make dinner and stove for breakfast. Had all the necessary kitchen items. Enjoyed hiking at Giant City State Park.
Quiet location, but close enough to the state park for hiking and close to town if need anything.
Less than 5 minutes from Giant City state park, which we visited several times. At the end of the evening the restaurants in Carbondale are only a short drive as well (most of them are less than 10 minutes). The cabin was nice and just as expected. Cheaper than a hotel and much more room. We were also able to bring our dog along with us to hike. The host had complimentary snacks, popcorn, and coffee available. I would definitely stay here again and absolutely recommend it to anyone who is looking for something similar.
We enjoyed the cabin a lot! It helped we had nice weather to be able to sit out on the deck. The cabin had everything we needed….we’ll supplied! We enjoyed the little snacks too. We would recommend the cabins here to our friends and families. It’s so nice it was close to a lot of things!
I think they should update the pics on this one because I expected it to be “eh” but it was nice. The living space is bigger than it looked too. I like having a kitchen so we don’t have to eat out constantly.
It sits in a convenient location for the area, and I’d stay here again. I think the dogs would have liked the deck if it had been warm enough.

Cabin home away from home. Never knew southern tip of Illinois looked like foothills of Smokey mountains. There are endless hiking trails, state parks, and wineries to explore. These cabins are located perfectly to explore the whole lower part of the state east to west, plus drop down into Kentucky, and over into Missouri.
Cabin is was perfect for us, nice to have a living room and kitchen, just overall extra room to enjoy ourselves. We enjoyed meeting our host Steve, he gave us great info on things to do and explore. He was also very easy to get ahold of if we needed anything. Staying here made
this one of our most memorable vacations.
Thanks so much!!
