Lack of attention to small detail of

One bunk bed was not completely made upon arrival, the main bedroom downstairs the quilt was put on where the tag was in your face while sleeping, didn't receive email to get discount /free activities until the day before we left. Therefore we missed out on discounts. Lastly when using the link in vrbo app to get to the cabin it takes you to 3085 stepping stone instead of 3075. Once we got in the gate it took us a good 15-20 minutes for find the correct cabin.

Spring Cabin

The facilities were very clean and updated. The community outdoor areas were great fun too! We had wished the pullout couch were on the lower level (not the level of the master and kitchen), but it worked out for our kids because the bunk beds were queen size. Overall a great stay and we will be back!

Bad Experience!

Driveway was straight down a mountainside. Started snowing got text messages one after another about closing road down. I felt I had to leave early because of the driveway and steep roads cabin was on. Asked for 1 day credit and they refused. When I asked Varbo to intervein they sent me back to property manager. Had my pets with me in pictures shows a large yard. No yard at all and on mountain side. Horrible experience and lost so much money didn't get to enjoy the weekend at all!

Hillside Hideaway

The cabin is beautiful with plenty of space for a small/medium size family. Perfect amenities. Only disgruntled issue was getting through gate security when checking in. Reservation information not relayed to security.

We had a great time

The house was very nice and clean. Fully stocked kitchen. We had to get a few things but that was expected. Everything worked. No issues. Hot tub was cleaned like described. Smaller than we expected but good. Beds...I wish they were more comfortable but no bed is like yours at home. The main floor was on the second floor which we overlooked. Driveway is steep. Bath on the second floor was stellar. Some things I mentioned wasnt bad just a fyi for people staying there. Overall our stay was great.

Great stay

The cabin was nice, roomy, clean, and in a good location. The only drawback was there was not AT&T cell service and there wasn't a hair dryer in the cabin.

Beautiful and clean house tucked back in a quiet community. Very close to all attractions, lots to do and see. My family and I had a great time on our stay. We even saw a few bears passing through the property. I would definitely stay again.

Cozy cabin

This cabin was beautiful and the area was very nice and secluded. At this particular cabin we were in the woods so we didn’t really have that Mountain View that a lot of people want but it was nice and peaceful just sitting out on the porch.

Nice Cabin

Security guards at the gate were very rude and not welcoming at all. Couldn’t even say Hello, may I help you! The guard demanded a barcode pass in order to get in upon arrival which was never made available to us or was mentioned to us. They were extremely rude! I later called in a complaint about this ,only to find out no barcode pass was ever issued because they don’t provide that, only The HOA hands out the pass. No one seemed to know what was going on. Very bad communication between Summit cabin rentals and with the HOA of Shagbark. Otherwise the cabin was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay.

Enjoyed our short stay in this property!

Overall, the property is lovely. We enjoyed our time here. The deck is fantastic as is the hot tub. Unfortunately, the firepit was out of propane but that wasn't a big problem for us. We were easily able to visit the University of Tennessee, Pigeon Forge, and Great Smokey Mountain National Park from this location, which was quiet and peaceful. We definitely recommend renters check their emails for the check-in instructions before getting any where near the house as the cell service is not good and we did not receive our email timely. I was able to find one spot on the driveway to call for the code but it was a little bit of a process. We also had a plumbing issue but the manager arranged for a plumber to come the next day to deal with it.

Nice cabin but very "bare-bones"

Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay in the Smokies. We have stayed in 20+ VRBOs in 4 continents and this was the most bare-bones unit we've stayed in. While the cabin is new, it doesn't feel "homey." There were no spices or basic cooking ingredients in the cabin, which we were told ahead of time but was still a surprise. The number of towels was not enough but we made it work. We did have issues with the cabin that were not resolved while we were there. The master toilet was clogged when we arrived, the coffee decanter wasn't the right one for the coffee maker, which meant we had to stand there and hold the decanter while the coffee brewed and one of the chairs around the table broke our first night. We called in the morning and left a message. Someone called back and asked us to call back which we did not do. We already left a message with what needed correcting and were busy out enjoying the National Park with no cell coverage. We were not going to spend our spring break playing phone tag with the property management company. Additionally, the hot tub was luke warm, the master shower door doesn't close all of the way and like other reviews, the master bedroom was colder than the family room, no matter what we had the thermostat set to. The kids really enjoy playing pool on the nice slate table. The Starlink Internet was functional but low bandwidth. Overall, it was a nice cabin with a good location but when we come back, we'll be looking for a different place to stay.

Awesome cabin in the mountains

Very clean property. Had a great time. Only thing that I would recommend to future guests is to bring their own bath towels. We had to go out an purchase towels since the towels provided were thin and not enough for the 6 of us. Other than this the cabin was wonderful.

INFESTED WITH COCKROACHES....BEWARE!!!!

Disappointed with this property. I would not recommend this house to anyone! When we turned down the sheets, to our horror, there were several roaches in the bed, along with roach feces. Roaches in the bathroom, in and under beds and in closets! When we contacted the manager on Saturday morning, they said they could have someone come sometime Monday and it was to be expected because it's in the woods and they like to come in to get out of the cold. Absolutely unacceptable! My husband proceeded to purchase over $80 worth of spray to do the exterior and interior of home, so we could sleep as they offered no other solution. I purchased laundry detergent to wash and re-make all 4 beds, as there's no extra bedding and they didn't offer housekeeping to come. We only had a few days there and we spent the better part of an entire day managing someone else's property. We own several properties ourselves and have rented numerous houses over the years...this is the most bar bones house I've ever stayed in. You will need to bring a blow dryer, laundry detergent, towels (as there's only a few very tiny cheap towels), toilet paper, paper towel, dish detergent. There are no games or anything of that nature! Just very basic. Heat is very uneven..main room gets very warm while bedrooms stay freezing. Poorly constructed and poorly managed!
