Lakeside Couples Retreat at Gouldsboro State Park

Goldilocks' Getaway is not too big, is not too small, it is just the right size for your Couples retreat.
Renew yourself with a trip to the lake!
Enjoy private lake access for small community at the top of 250 acre Gouldsboro Lake. Paddle board, kayak or canoe (we have all 3) all around the lake or to the beach to hang out. Located 2 hours from NYC, NJ & Philly. Close to skiing and water parks.
All renters! Must be 27 yrs or older unless child of renter.
Memorial Day - Labor Day 7 day minimum (Sat- Sat)
We are located just minutes from Camelback Mountain, where you can enjoy skiing, snow tubing, snowboarding, and zip-lining, Camelbeach outdoor water park, visit Crossings premium outlets, Mt. Airy Casino or Kalahari water Park.The space:

The house has 2 bedrooms:
1st bedroom has a full size bed
2nd bedroom has 2 twins (trundle)
All the spaces have heat and air con.
One bathroom with a full sized washer and dryer.

Three day minimum stay Fall, Winter and Spring.
Summer rentals are 7 day minimum (Saturday to Saturday)

We have 4 kayaks, 4 paddle boards, a canoe, life vests and safety whistles for you to use. You can launch right at Cedar Street Beach. (the walk is shown in the main picture) That is also an awesome spot to swim. Fishing (bring your own poles and fishing license) off of the community dock is good.

Large fire pit is there for you to enjoy!
We have a propane grill on the back deck.

Starter pack: (it may not last your entire trip)
We provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, q-tips, cotton-balls and a couple rolls of TP. We have dishwasher pods, laundry detergent and a roll of paper towels to get you started.
Kitchen has reg and decaf coffee, tea bags, sugar, S&P, some spices, foil, cling wrap, coffee filters and a few trash bags.

We supply linens, blankets, throws and towels (bath, hand and wash clothes) Also kitchen 2 towels a dish cloth and scrubbie.
Sheets will be in a bag at the bottom of the bed, crisp, clean and sanitized for your stay.
We also have lake towels for you to use, (in the closet of the trundle bedroom) this is the only thing we ask you to wash, or you can bring your own if you would rather.
We ask that the beds are stripped from the beds and put in the clothes basket provided in each room before you leave.

The house has lots of nature books and fiction for your reading enjoyment, along with many games and some puzzles.

THE STATE PARKS:
Gouldsboro State Park, a short 5 min walk from our home, in Monroe and Wayne counties in northeastern Pennsylvania, contains 2,800 acres of land. The 250-acre Gouldsboro Lake is popular for fishing and boating. (no motors)

Tobyhanna State Park is nearby.

SWIMMING: The sand beach at each park is open from late-May to mid-September, 8:00 AM to sunset.

FISHING: Common fish in Tobyhanna and Gouldsboro lakes are bass, pickerel, yellow perch, catfish, and sunfish. Tobyhanna Lake also has stocked brook and brown trout. Gouldsboro Lake has walleye and crappie. An ADA accessible fishing pier is available at each park.

Other things to note
The age minimum to rent this home is 27 for all occupants in the group unless children of the renters. A copy of the primary renters ID will need to be provided after booking is confirmed.

This is a quiet family neighborhood, no parties or events allowed.

This is a non-smoking property. We ask that you respect our property and refrain from smoking in the house or on the property. If any smell of smoke is detected in the house Airbnb or Vrbo will bill for the $500 security charge.

This pet free home as one of the owners is allergic.

No fireworks

We don’t allow any pop streamers or sparkles/glitter inside or outside the home. They create quite a mess and would require an additional cleaning fee to be collected.
