A perfect blend of comfort and convenience, ideal for anyone looking to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of Oregon. This charming and quaint abode is surrounded by majestic Sequoia and Douglas Fir trees, providing a serene environment that feels worlds away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Yet, its prime location along the Umpqua River Scenic Byway ensures that you're never far from the historic town of Elkton, Oregon.
Whether you're interested in exploring educational centers, enjoying local cuisine at nearby restaurants, sampling the rich flavors of local wineries, or simply taking a leisurely stroll by the Umpqua River, The Cottage at Wild Goose Outpost offers a welcoming retreat after a day of adventure. It's the perfect spot to unwind, recharge, and experience the best that this picturesque region has to offer.
The updated mid-century home will sleep 6 people. There are 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Bedroom #1 has a queen bed. Upstairs are bedroom #2 with a queen and twin XL beds, and bedroom #3 with a twin XL bed. All beds have memory foam mattresses and adjustable bed frames.
The living room offers comfortable seating and has a 50” smart TV. Wifi is available throughout The Cottage. Home comfort is maintained by a ductless heat pump (heating and cooling). The upstairs bedrooms have quiet window AC units seasonally installed. A wood stove is also available for use when desired.
The dining room offers a full-sized table with comfortable seating for 6 people (4 chairs and a bench). There are also a couple of bar stools for additional seating.
For your morning (or any time-of-day) enjoyment, a Coffee Bar is ready for your use with a single serve coffee maker, a 12-cup coffee maker, and a hot water kettle. Basic coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and apple cider supplies are provided.
The home has a fully functional and well supplied kitchen with a generous amount of countertop and cabinet space. The full-sized stainless-steel appliances include a glass-top range with a convection oven and a warming drawer, a french door refrigerator with an interior icemaker in the freezer compartment, microwave oven, and a dishwasher.
The spacious bathroom has a tub/shower combination and a vanity with countertop space. A hair dryer is provided. The bathroom can be accessed from a door near the kitchen or from bedroom #1.
In addition to the indoor comfort, The Cottage has an outside deck that is perfect for relaxing, listening to the river or birds, feeling gentle breezes, watching sunsets, and dining. A BBQ grill is available for guests to use.
A carport is conveniently located to allow for a covered entrance into the home and there is ample outdoor parking.
For your stay, The Cottage will be supplied with fresh bed, bath, and kitchen linens. Incidentals will also be ready for your use: hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher pods, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and toilet paper.
The Cottage has a large yard that can be used for enjoyment of the outdoors. There is a smaller fenced-in area that can be used for pets.
