Grew up in Nashville, went to college in Ohio, and after college I worked in education/tech industry in Boston. I joined the US Peace Corps and served in Tanzania supporting environmental education and conservation programs through the US Peace Corps, United Nations and in collaboration with a hunting company supporting community development and anti-poaching initiatives with community members and government game scouts for 10 years. We moved to Boise in 2002 to support wildfire mitigation, education, and community collaboration. I lead safaris to Tanzania and Kenya most summers. The last 15 years I have been teaching science and technology to students in 1st-8th grade. I live in Boise with my wife and our 2 sons.
Why they chose this property
Wagon Wheel subdivision has larger 1/2 acre lots, big sub alpine spruce and tamarack trees, and lots of deer and other wildlife. Very quiet but not too far from McCall or Cascade and Donnelly has the best Huckleberries! Goldfork Hot Springs is only a 20 minute drive from our cabin.
What makes this property unique
Big trees in the front and nice grassy backyard surrounded by trees. Lots of wildlife and at night there isn’t much light pollution so lots of stars. Sitting by the wood stove inside or by the fire pit outside is very relaxing. There is a front and back deck to sit on and in the summer a nice patio table in the backyard for outdoor dining. We are close to the lake, but not too close to hear much boat noise. Walk to the lake in 15-20 minutes. The lot on one side of the cabin is woods and a fence on the other side offers privacy. Plenty of parking space for 3-4 vehicles.
