About this property

New Cabin on a 300 acre farm with Spectacular views of Flathead Lake

This is a newly constructed cabin done to luxury standards and is located on our farm down a private road, situated at the northern end of Flathead Lake. The views are spectacular as you can enjoy 360 degree views of the valley, Flathead Lake, Glacier Park, The Swan Mountains, Blacktail Mountain and the big skies and stars of Montana. The only land in between our farm and the lake is a waterfowl preserve. There is plenty of wildlife on the property and it is a wonderful spot to enjoy Flathead Valley.

Somers is a unique spot as is the farm. Somers was an old company town and retains much of it's charm. There are only 3 farms on the northern end of Flathead Lake. There is lake access about a mile from the farm for putting in boats, paddle boarding, kayaks, jet skis, swimming. Somers State Park is ½ mile from the cabin also with access to the lake. The farm is 30 minutes from the airport. Glacier Park is 45 minutes away and Whitefish is 40 minutes. There is hiking all around. Lone Pine State Park, Wayfarer's State Park, Flathead Lake State Park, Jewel Basin, Crane Mountain and of course, Glacier National Park.Other activities include: golfing, skiing, cross country skiing, biking, hiking, dog sled rental, ATV rental, horseback riding just to name a few activities. Lots of outfitters rent equipment.
The are three other rental properties on the farm. A barn, a yurt and the farmhouse. The farmhouse is approximately 100 yards from the cabin. There is outdoor seating and a grill on the deck as well as Adirondack style chairs and table on the grass near the field.
Inside, there is a fireplace and the wood is located next to the cabin along with an axe for chopping any additional wood. We provide Dyson fans in the summer although the nights are cool.
The kitchen is stocked with cooking essentials. There is an electric kettle and coffee maker. Miele appliances include dishwasher, fridge, speed oven/microwave and induction cooktop. The fridge/freezer is a 24" Liebherr.

The Somers State Park is half a mile from the farm. In the winter it is possible to cross country ski on Flathead Lake.

You will need a 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive for much of the year. We have Jeep Wranglers, Jeep Gladiators, Chrysler Pacifica minivan and a Jeep Wagoneer that we rent. Please contact us for details if you are interested. We offer our guests discounted rates and also have car seats, ski racks and coolers. Note: we do sell these out in the summer. Some of the vehicles have snow tires. There can be snow at altitude until late June! They are some nice walking spots very close to the farm. There is a Waterfowl Protection Area in between the farm and Flathead Lake so there are times the access right by the farm is closed and only for the birds!

Can’t wait to get back to Annie’s Cabin!

Annie’s Cabin surpassed our expectations in every way… comfort, cleanliness, amenities, kitchen efficiency, location, views, … and so peaceful! The kitchen was a dream to cook in and was so well-stocked with great appliances and cookware. We took wonderful daily walks on the nearby wildlife lands and the historic Rails to Trails paved path in town

We are a couple who reside in New York City and have spent the past twenty five years vacationing in the area with our four children. We also own a condo in Bigfork on the Swan River.

Why they chose this property

We purchased this farm (300 acres) in 2003 as the views are stunning and it is in a unique location being so close to Flathead Lake. There are so many activities we enjoy in the area that we wanted to be able to enjoy coming to the Flathead all year round. We enjoy fly-fishing, skiing and horseback riding and the quality of life that Bigfork has to offer. We love the weather during the summer and the winters are remarkably mild with an abundance of snow. There is also a lot of wildlife on the property, particularly ducks, geese, deer and coyotes!

What makes this property unique

We love this location as it is so central to various parts of the Flathead, close to the restaurants and the galleries in Bigfork and Whitefish. The farm and valley look so different throughout the year and each season is a unique experience.
