If you are looking for posh, this isn’t it. If you want an exceptionally clean, reasonably priced cottage, this IS the place. Fantastic, quiet neighborhood Felt very safe.Owner is exceedingly gracious and available if you have needs.
the toilet would not work from time to time.
i never was able to get the tv remote to work.
the bathroom as small with no elbow room.
bart the owner was pretty helpful.
on the up side, the neighborhood was nice and quiet.
only 10 minutes from either downtown or the casinos (pepermill/atlantis).
Clean and quiet with large kitchen and fenced yard in suburban neighborhood -- but bare bones as a place to stay. Place has not been updated in a long time. Not a visually pleasant environment inside or in the backyard.
I’m not one to leave bad reviews, but I feel like I should be 100% transparent for the next guests.
First of all, I stayed as a middle-aged man with his dog, no spouse. Keep that in mind…
I didn’t expect too much, considering the price of the unit and really wanted somewhere with a hot shower and a clean bed, and somewhere to let my dog stretch her legs after a ten hour drive.
All those things were missing from this stay. Yes, technically there is a fenced yard, however it is in need of some major TLC. Even hitting it with Weedwacker and a little Round-Up would take all of an hour and make such a difference. I had thought about bbq’ing a couple burgers the first night, but the gas grill was pretty rough and I wasn’t sure if I was up to date on my tetanus shot. I opted for delivery and it was fine.
It wanted to wash my dogs bowl and unfortunately there was so little hot water, it was fruitless. I went to take a shower and water sprayed from all the connections on the shower head. It was late, so I decided to message the owner the next morning. He was responsive and came in while I was away and repaired/replaced the head.
Since the shower didn’t work, I just decided to go to bed. I pulled back the comforter and blanket and there was a Tootsie Roll wrapper between them. I’m assuming the bedding hadn’t been fully cleaned, otherwise that wouldn’t have been there. Thankfully my girlfriend had me pack my own bedding, just in case. So I stripped the bed and used my own. Be aware
Nice home in the old south west Reno neighborhood. The yard needs some TLC and water. Cute interior all furnishings functional.

The yard is safely fenced for dogs, and the off street parking is convenient. Property is in need of a deep clean. Yard was cluttered with branches and debris. BBQ was rusted and unuseable. It is an inexpensive option, but don’t expect much
It was comfortable, clean, and private. Not fancy, but had the things I needed. The best part wss that it was full enclosed so I could let my pup out without worrying he would get into michief.
While it felt remote, it was really close to the things like dog parks that were a high priority. Virginia Lake is quite close and a beautiful area to walk, run, take dogs, just beautiful. Minutes from shopping and resturants, its a good location.
Bart was very responsive and friendly and I felt it was a really good value. There is a very comfortable queen bed and a single bed.
There is a lot of chainlink fencing, which I thought was interesting. I'd like to know more about that aspect.
Communication was perfect, although I forgot to text that we were leaving! Sorry about that. Clean little space, perfect for a quick getaway. Location was close to downtown.
We had been traveling cross country for 5 days and needed a break over the weekend. Reno is on our way to Mendocino CA. We thought we would sightsee a bit but we were so enamored with this studio that we just stayed inside all day! Having the washer/dryer unit available was a huge plus and the small fenced yard for our dogs. We always appreciate pet friendly accommodations, especially when the pet fees aren’t exorbitant. Place was very clean and smelled fresh. I had some trouble with the Roku but figured that out once I was online. Bart responded quickly early on when I had some questions. Very pleasant and helpful. And the neighbor even blessed me when I sneezed in back yard! Pro - be sure to eat at Gloria’s Cafe if there’s a chance. Remarkable food. Chef been cooking for 40 years! And the Horchata Latte is incredible. Will return if through this area again. Thank you!
We were just passing through for one night with our two dogs. The property is as advertised - its a nice, clean, basic unit with fenced area for dogs that was much appreciated. Located in a nice neighborhood with pleasant park across the street. It was a short drive to the Truckee River walk and dog friendly breweries. Great comfy couch...
It's a nice place and very convenient to all the restaurants and shopping mall... the only complaints is the water in the kitchen is very weak and not too much water pressure and we had a tough time using the TV remote control..Other than that, we had a great stay.
