UW-La Crosse and Hokah Visit

We were so happy to find this hidden gem! The listing is exactly as described. The property was very clean, quaint, and unique. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was fully stocked to cook supper, and we had plenty of space for a family of five. One small downside is that we ran out of hot water after two showers in a row, so we made sure to space them out. We enjoyed watching the little downtown of Hokah's happenings as it snowed outside. We had yummy smoothies at the coffee shop across the road, and my husband loved finding the nearby surplus store. We would definitely stay again!

Weekend in Hokah

At first I was skeptical of the building, but when I went upstairs and saw the inside of the apartment I was relieved to know that the listing was very honest to what it was actually like. Everything was very nice and I enjoyed my stay. There were just a few bugs I had to kill but it wasn’t a bad g deal to me.

Perfect weekend getaway

This is the best stocked place we've ever stayed in. I wanted to cook for my UWL student who was sick of dining hall food and it had everything I needed! That made the stay so much more enjoyable. Plenty of room for a comfortable stay. Erin was very responsive and a great host. We checked out the coffee shop across the street and the food was delicious. Como falls was a short walk and a nice quite place to sit. We'll definitely be back!

Relaxing

My wife, friends and I were looking for a relaxing environment to unwind. This location was exactly that and more! We went to Como Falls which was a 1 minute drive away and it was a very serene and calm environment. The apartment is well kept and clean. Both bedrooms were comfortable. There was a lot of space. A nice kitchen, dining and living room. The bathroom was very clean. Thank you so much!

Perfect spot and incredibly clean

Our primary objectives for VRBO: Clean, honest about place, easy to communicate with host, good beds, basic needs provided for. We got this and more. Soft bedding, extra blankets, fans due to street noise to drown it out, location on hwy 16 perfect. Didn’t use the kitchen, but it had anything needed.

Cute, clean apartment

My husband and I stayed here while attending our son's track meet. Cute little town not too far from La Crosse which was nice. As stated by owners, the street is a little noisy but I brought ear plugs and they had a sound machine which was a nice touch. This apartment was super clean and very cute. Everything you needed, and more, was provided. Definitely recommend!!

A+ Charming apartment in historic building

We loved all the woodwork and bright and Airy feel to the place. Loved all the fine touches and detail. Beds were very comfortable. Loved being near the Mississippi River and the Beautiful Bluffs. We were attending a family funeral in La Crosse and this was perfect and enjoyable ride to drive across the river every day. Very Scenic area.

Exactly what we needed!

We booked for daughter's graduation at UWL. My mom loved the Hokah library. Enough room for 5 comfortably And was still able to get back and forth to LaCrosse no problem. Appreciated how owner checked in throughout visit. Well stocked with all kitchen spices and cookware if people would like to make an extended stay. Quaint town. Will stay again if chance arises.

Work hard, Play hard!
I love all things outdoors, wakeboard, snowboard, longboard, hiking, climbing, surfing, snorkeling, paddle boarding, biking, golfing, frisbee golf and up to try something new.
My husband and I enjoy renovating properties and transforming spaces.
We love to travel, especially to Hawaii and found vacation rentals to be welcoming and feel like home away from home.
We decided to start hosting to share those same feelings for family, friends and friends of friends and family, our Ohana.

Why they chose this property

We purchased the building for my husband, Colt, to open his own tattoo shop. When we were hunting for a building and came across this one, we ended up seeing the upstairs apartment first and absolutely fell in LOVE with the original hardwood floors, oversized trim and charm of the older building. We thought it would be a great space for traveling tattooers, our friends and family who come to visit.
