Come relax at the end of the road in our historic lake front home. Built in 1958 it is one of the first homes on the lake. Recent updates make it a comfortable stay for 2-3 couples or a family to enjoy fantastic views, play on the lake, or just relax on a large deck. We also have a patio with a fire pit and wood provided. Swans in the spring and fall, ducks all summer, eagles perch in the trees in the front yard. We have kayaks, paddle boats, a rowboat, canoe and a large dock, for your use, to enjoy the lake. We provide fishing gear for summer and winter. The home is located between Palmer and Wasilla, about 45 minutes from Anchorage airport. Come enjoy your private, waterfront home while you visit Alaska.

Loved our time here! From Eagles to Auroras ,couldn’t ask for better. One of our favorites. Thanks Stan and Brenda.Oh yeah, our granddaughter loved skating on the frozen lake.
This house was everything we wanted. Great location right on the water. Comfortable beds. All the toys the owner provided to use on the lake was perfect. Will definitely stay here again
The listing does not do this place justice! Close to everything and the view is spectacular. The hosts are super accommodating, easy to get ahold of, and go above and beyond with what they provide. Would 100% stay here again!!!
We had a wonderful stay. Stan and Brenda were amazing. We had our emails off but saw they messaged several times to make sure everything was good. They left us eggs from their chickens, which we really enjoyed.
The house had everything we needed. We enjoyed the canoe and paddle boats. They provided all that we needed to fish on the lake, which was great. You could tell a lot of love is put into the house.
Wish we would've stayed here longer!!
We Brought my 92 yr old mom visiting from Arizona. This place is AMAZING. Stunning views. Wraparound deck for all day sun. Use of many kinds of boats. Living room with panoramic views. Right on the water. Worth every penny. Clean. Even has an old working dial phone on the wall. Will be back.
Overall, the property served us well, as we were on a business trip for two nights.
The views are truly incredible from the deck and the front window of the home. Be sure to grab some bottled water or anything else you may need on your way, stores and restaurants are not too far away, but not extremely convenient either.
Keep in mind that there is only one shower in the home, so if you are traveling with kids, you’ll just need to plan your morning accordingly. The lake is absolutely beautiful and I’m sure if you travel during the summer months there would be endless exploring opportunities.
The property was fun for the family being able to utilize the paddle boats as well as Kayaks from the Dock.
Kids enjoyed the water either fishing or just fun. The house was nice and clean, and the host made us feel right at home! Would highly recommend staying here as my Family enjoyed it with many things to do without having to drive to far. Little over an hour to rent utvs to drive into the beautiful scenery or about three and a half hours to Denali park entrance. Also had life jackets, fishing poles and bait to use. Thanks!
We were a multi-generational family traveling by car through Alaska for 2.5 weeks. This cottage was our last stop before flying home. It delivered on every aspect of our stay. The view is unquestionably the main attraction with its proximity to the lake. Within an hour of being there, a bald eagle graced us with his presence. The home was immaculate, and it is well appointed for anyone who stays, including lots of watercraft for the lake. It was a little too chilly during August for us Floridians, but we loved watching the birds and other wildlife. The location in Palmer is excellent and close by to all the Palmer/Wasilla area has to offer. We were pleasantly surprised we could fill up all our days with activities in the area.
I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone who wants the opportunity to enjoy the sights of Alaska literally from the deck or from the large windows overlooking the lake.
My parents, who are 81 Y/O and new to staying at VRBOs, absolutely loved it. My son and I split the upstairs bedrooms and we were all comfortable and felt safe. If I got the chance to go back to Alaska in the coming years, I would plan around having an opportunity to stay here again and hopefully enjoy even more of the lake. 5 stars!! Thanks for a great stay!
The Property is Outstanding. The pictures and description of this Home got me from the start of my search. People.... so much better than the pictures show and more "what you need right now" items than i can list. For example, I need a screwdriver.... heres one. I need an iron....heres one. Is our luggage under 50 lbs? What? A luggage weigher... yes everyone, they had it there! The Views from everywhere you look are phenomenal. I really dont think a camara can show what your really being Blessed with when you book this Home. Not in one picture, no way. The Sound, or better to say, the absense of city sounds is very remarkable. On day two the steady humming or buzzing in my ears i didn't know was there quieted. I could hear nature again. The Momma duck cuts through the yard, with her babies, heading for a swim. The fish jump, the wind sings through the trees, The Sun shines bright upon the waters surface looking upwards towards the mountain landscape. I'm tempted to say Magical. I would add rewarding and peacfull. Worth every penny... a real value. This is just a special home thats all there is to what im telling you. If only I had 10 thumbs. I would give10 thumbs up to these Hosts that I thank for making this place available for me to experience.
