Incredible Lake house with amazing water views & great lake access

The Property
Located on large groomed property on the Lake of Egypt, Firefly Sky offers spectacular views and a peaceful setting for your lake getaway. The lake front property offers breathtaking views from the large decks . Watch the kids play in the water and soak in the magnificent views of the lake and all the action. We currently provide two kayaks, a paddle board, noodles, and fishing poles! Additionally we provide a Lilly Pad and discounted pontoon rentals on the lake! Swim in the 11ft deep water; we are safely located in a side cove to the main water way. Even paddle boarding is a great option. Bring your lake toys! For those cool evenings, fire pit is available to keep you warm after a long day on the lake.

The House
Firefly Sky is a 2-story lake house. The 4 bedroom 2 bath house features a cozy living room and kitchen spread over 2300 sq. feet. Excellent decor. The Living room features ample seating modern comforts looking out from 1 of the 2 large decks with incredible views. The Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would need including all newer appliances. The main floor includes 3 Bedrooms. The bottom floor contains our 4th bedroom and rec area. The rec area is setup with couches and a entertainment area perfect for fun and relaxation while watching tv. The 4th bedroom has a full bed with a twin bunk above - it also includes a sleeper couch. The basement also boasts a bar area, outfitted with a countertop ice maker. The bottom floor walks out to the bottom deck area with four swing chairs to take in the incredible views. All linens, utensils etc. are included in your rental. The furnishings in the home are stylish and high quality. Each item was chosen for this house specifically , making Firefly Sky a stand alone in quality.

Race Weekend

Our crew was in town for the Tunnel Hill 100 and this was a great location at only about 25 minutes away from the race start and within 25 - 30 minutes of all of the main race stops for our crew. We were able to get some great rest in the day leading up to the race and the space was awesome for our group traveling in from various areas around the country to have some time to catch up around the table before the race. Beautiful spot.

Wonderful Family Reunion

We had a reunion with 7 of us. It was a great weekend! The house was exactly as pictured. It was clean and well stocked. We rented a pontoon boat and had it docked at the deck. We are definitely planning another reunion at the same spot!

Perfect Lake house getaway

We stayed here last week for a family trip. The house was as described the view, the dock and house. Not a fancy place but well maintained. This lake and rental is a hidden gem in southern illinois. We will come back again someday.

Solar eclipse

A nice roomy place. Nice inside & comfortable But the exterior & windows & window tracks needed a good cleaning. The uneven stones & no railing at the top of the staircase to get to the dock made it pretty treacherous for anyone with balance issues or a recent knee replacement like myself.

Fishing trip

Overall, stay was fine I know the bathrooms were short on toilet paper and only one roll of paper towels. There could’ve brought some if we needed to. I didn’t see it in the listing might’ve missed it bottom stair, on deck portion heading down was loose one of the brick stairs are loose. Have to be very careful if you’re going down to the lake.

Location is quiet, peaceful, beautiful and serene. The deer were everywhere. House is super comfortable. Host is attentive. What I appreciate is the tv was so easy to operate and the guide provided so helpful. Overall a very good place to vacation and relax.

Gorgeous views!

We will rent this home again. It's clean, tastefully decorated and the beds were comfortable. The views from the top deck make this entire stay worth it. We brought our jet skis and kept them parked in the private, covered dock. This house has plenty of lake floats, fishing poles and extra life jackets. The water is deep enough off the dock to jump and swim.

Lake Egypt rental

Great time at Lake Egypt! We spent a lot of time on the deck taking in the view of the lake. The beds are very comfortable. We even rented the pontoon boat for a day. Anytime we needed to communicate with the host his response time was fast.

Perfect Family/Friend Getaway

The home was clean and well stocked with amenities. Kayaks and paddle board were great. Lots of flotation devices for swimming in the water off the dock or if you use a boat. Fire pit on site had firewood available and gas grill was clean and had extra propane. Owner communication was good and the check out list was very reasonable. Nothing crazy like you see with other rentals. Highly recommend and will definitely stay here again if I come back to this area!

Great location

This was our first time at Lake of Egypt. This home is in a perfect location. The rooms are all comfortable and we enjoyed spending time on the large decks each day. We rented a boat and had no trouble getting out each day. There are a lot of steps so this wouldn’t be a good choice for anyone not in good physical health. Great house. We would come back!

Lake house

House was very nice, clean and comfortable with plenty of room for everyone. Had a really great pier and plenty of parking. Fishing on the lake was also great.
