House good, communication not so much
The property was good. This was the first I’ve dealt with a company who has multiple rentals using VRBO as a middle man. Because they have so many, their communication was delayed or non-existent (at least this was what they told me). We didn’t get off to a good start. Because my credit card got stolen earlier in the year I had a new # when they tried to process the second half of the payment 5 days before check-in. It was my fault for not checking that this payment had gone through but it was also their fault for not contacting me to let me know that the payment failed to go through. So the day before we were supposed to check-in and after traveling hundreds of miles, I contacted them because I hadn’t received the check-in instructions. They said they’d take care of it. 4 hours later (6pm) I haven’t heard anything so I contacted them again. 40 min and 2 phone calls later, the issue is resolved and I’m stressed out. That is how the rest of the communication went for our stay. They were really nice on the phone when I did talk to them but it was either no response or a very delayed response.
