We stayed 2 weeks and for us, the cottage provided all we needed for a stress-free visit back home. Any questions we had before, during & after our stay were answered promptly. Not having laundry on-site was a little inconvenient, but you can go a couple blocks and be at a laundromat. You can drive or walk to breakfast, boozy ice cream, the Lyric Bistro (Check it out! Live music & nostalgia! We had a great time! ) . The beach is just down the hill from the lighthouse. It's the whole package! We were lucky enough to come at the perfect time to see all the fall leaves change. We would stay here again and will check availability next year.
We had a nice stay at Jezira's Hidaway. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was nice and the shower in the tiny bathroom was great! Everything was very clean.
Vida’s place was a perfect stay. We enjoyed being so close to the restaurants and especially the ice cream. We have family nearby and this location was wonderful. Thank you for letting us stay with you.
Super cute tiny cottage, perfect for my husband and I and our 6 year old. It looked clean surface-wise, but needed a good deep cleaning. There were cob/spider webs everywhere and we saw a couple spiders and centipedes. It was stocked really well with anything you could need for cooking (except actual food) and coffee. Staying in the heat of the summer, the tiny window ac unit didn't cut it. Even with it set on 68°, the bathroom and kitchen were steamy and bedroom was really warm, even with all doors left open as suggested. Toilet area is very cramped (may need to do some stretches prior)! Our only issue with outside the house was parking. Listing stated 2 parking spots behind the house, but there were 2 other cars parked back there that seemed to start parking wars with us. We have a big Dodge truck and had to maneuver in and out of our parking spot a few times because the other 2 cars squeezed us in. We definitely wouldn't have been able to have 2 spots of our own if needed. Also, the outside light above the door needs to be replaced. Overall, it was decent. Would we stay here again? Probably not.
From beginning to the end, my stay was fabulous. This was my first experience and as a woman traveling alone (70) I didn’t know what to expect. I was so pleasantly surprised. Like being at home. I felt safe and secure and I will definitely be a repeat customer.
Loved the cottage as well as the location. The cottage was beautifully decorated and very warm and welcoming. Local restaurants had great food as well as people. Would definitely stay again.
The cottage was clean, cozy, comfortable, and full of amenities. It was the perfect getaway for the two of us; although it could have accommodated our two children as well. We were ideally situated within walking distance to the beautiful beachfront park as well as "main street". We visited many of the places suggested in the welcome material provided by our hospitable hosts, and I'm so glad we did! We loved the shops & restaurants and found the townspeople to be so friendly and welcoming. We came away from our little staycation restored. We are so grateful to have found this hidden gem and priced so modestly...We will definitely be back!
This little rental was absolutely perfect. Clean, comfortable, stocked, quiet, perfectly located and even the price was right! We will absolutely stay here whenever we are in town ❤️
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! AT THIS ADORABLE COTTAGE
What a pleasant stay we had in this small but well functioning cottage. You can pull up to the door upon arrival and unload your luggage, then park in the adjoining space. The kitchen is well-stocked including a coffee maker, toaster, plates, cookware and utensils. This is perfect for two adults or a couple with a young child that can sleep on the sofa bed. The bed in the small bedroom was so comfortable and the decorations were very soothing and pleasant to the eye. The bonus is that it is in walking distance to the lake. We'll definitely want to return when summer arrives and we can visit the beach park. We couldn't pass the ice cream shop without stopping and enjoying their homemade delights! The property was very clean and we will definitely return. Thank you for sharing your adorable Jezera Hideway with us!
Overall the stay was decent but the property had a few issues causing a less than optimal stay. There was a leaking sink, a roof leak from tbe bathroom exhaust fan which also spewed out dust/crud/insulation when it ran and the internet service was not hooked up. The largeat issue howevwr was the parking area. It is in bad need of having gravel spread. On days with heavy rain you arw forced to park in what becomes a small pond about 2-3" deep with literally no way to get out of your vehicle and to the house without drudging through it. Bring rain boots if you stay here - Im not kidding!

College Student Crash Pad
This place is OK for college students looking for a crash pad, but very uncomfortable for adults looking for a comfy place to stay. The heating was hard to regulate. The bed was like sleeping on plywood, and the couch was very uncomfortable. The pillows were heavy, the comforter had a hole where mice had eaten it. The bedroom was so small I had to climb in from the end of the bed and sleep against the wall. Of course this was not shown in the pictures. Location was decent. Bath was decent. No blinds on the bath or kitchen windows.
Everything about the house was just right. Everything was nice and new and it had all I needed. The owners were very communicative. Fairport Harbor is a great example of small town America on Lake Erie.
