Long weekend getaway

Great, quiet atmosphere to decompress but still close to Traverse City. A lot of enticing outside space to explore on foot.

Perfect Getaway

My family and I booked this location to escape the city for the weekend with our dogs and it was the perfect getaway. The hosts were lovely, the property was the perfect updated cabin, and the space was away from it all with a perfect night view and trails to wander.

Amazing lake house in the woods

Sont know what to say. Amazing house and property, it was one of the most peaceful getaways we've done in a long time. We were there at peak fall color and it was beautiful. Check in was easy and the owner couldnt be nicer.

Perfect weekend getaway

Our family loved the mix of old and new at this cabin. Legit log cabin on one side and modern kitchen/bathrooms on the other. The eclectic decorations made it even more fun. We played in the lake, saw some amazing sunsets and even got to see the northern lights just down the street. It was relaxing and quiet which is just what we were looking for.

Definitely a hidden gem!

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin and were very pleased when we arrived. The property grounds were amazing and on a private lake. The pictures do not do this cabin justice! Cabin was very clean and had everything we needed for a a weeks stay. Carole is a wonderful host and this is somewhere we would stay again.

Lake getaway!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed the cabin. It was remote, peaceful, and very clean. All of the amenities were a bonus and exactly as described. The lake is fun and enjoyable! Carole was lovely during our stay and made sure everything was perfect for our family! Would definitely stay here again!

Enchanting Lakeside Chalet

We stayed at this charming chalet for 12 days in early fall and were absolutely enchanted. Nestled by the lake on a secluded 300-acre privately-owned property, the chalet offers breathtaking views and endless tranquility. Our dogs had the time of their lives exploring the trails in the surrounding woods. Every part of the day revealed its unique beauty, and on our last night, we were lucky enough to witness the Northern Lights, which illuminated the sky with their mesmerizing colors for hours. Amazing Weekend

Really cannot say enough good things about this property. Location was perfect for us and very close to grocery store and Fife Lake area. Perfect setting for a relaxing weekend. Well equipped with modern amenities in a historic cabin. We definitely hope to return!

Unique, interesting cabin in paradise.

My husband and I, with my son, daughter-in-law, and 22 month old granddaughter loved this cabin. It was challenging with a toddler but we had a wonderful week. Carole, the host, is extremely friendly and helpful.

Cozy Cabin Review

Idyllic setting for a relaxing getaway. An off the beaten path gem close enough to local sites of interest for an easy day trip drive, if desired. Carole is a very gracious host to work with on check in an out. My one minor request would be better lighting in the bathrooms, especially the lower, but otherwise a really lovely cabin!

Perfect get away during peak colors

This family cabin recently renovated was everything we were hoping for. On a lake with views of the Fall colors. We fished, went for long walks and relaxed by the fire. Carole our host was gracious and made sure our stay was comfortable. We will definitely come back. This location is a real treasure for those who want peace and quite.

Special getaway!

This is truly a special place. It is a beautiful cabin in the woods! There are so many cooking supplies in the kitchen, and a water softener/tankless water heater, which we loved! Everything has been carefully thought out so that you have everything you need. We had so much fun relaxing with our 2 and 5 year olds. We enjoyed s’mores by the campfire and there are several boats for exploring the lake! I misplaced 2 wedding rings at some point- wanted to let everyone know in case you come across them somewhere at the cabin or on the trail around the property, which is beautiful and fun to explore!

Simply the best

This place is awesome. I don’t think I can say enough good things to do it justice. A beautiful lake just outside the back door, kayaks and a row boat available, nice dock, plenty of fish in the lake to help beginners learn (and get some easy catches), great communication, comfortable cabin with everything you might need from pots/pans to shampoo, thoughtful detail surrounding the updating of the property! Plus so many more amenities. We can’t wait to go back!

Quiet, relaxing and clean

This cabin was as described in the listing. It was clean and had everything you need for a relaxing time away. There was a fire pit for s’mores, kayaks, life vests and a platform for swimming. There were books, games and puzzles as well. Kitchen had enough dishes and equipment to make a nice meal. Water was hot for all showers. The only thing you may need to know is that it is on a dirt road with a gate. The GPS listed it further down the dirt road but look for the gate with wooden address sign right by stop sign. Would stay again! Owner is a pleasure to work with!

This was the nicest and cutest rental! The communication with the owners was above and beyond! Extremely easy! I would stay again! Prices right! My only suggestion (which is because it a a personal preference) is to have better lighting in the downstairs bathroom and in the living room area off the main entrance, curtains. Again, this is just a personal preference of mine. No reflection on the owners at all. I would stay here again in a second! Had a wonderful time! Thank you so very much!
