Fort Davis GetWay

Property was as advertised. Very nice home. Communication with owner was outstanding. Be aware that you are on an unpaved road and it is one of the nicest properties on the street. Worked great for two couples Good location for both Fort Davis and Davis Mountain State Park.

Wonderful Family Getaway in Fort Davis

We had a fantastic stay in Fort Davis, Texas! The location was perfect for exploring local attractions, and the cozy house made us feel right at home. The outdoor patios were absolutely fabulous for stargazing in the evenings. Our family made lifelong memories here, and we can't recommend this place enough!

Great Vacation Home

Beautiful Ft. Davis home

The pictures and description on the VRBO site were very accurate showing a beautiful well appointed home. When we got there it was even better than the pictures. Very clean and spacious. Kitchen was completely stocked with all utensils and cooking tools. We made several dinners and lacked for nothing. Host had a guest notebook with very helpful information about the house and sightseeing. Host is also very responsive about any questions. Will definitely visit again.

Beautiful getaway

We were a group of 8 (two families), and this home was absolutely perfect for us. The few bits of feedback I can offer: I’d advise that the cleaning crew dust the ceiling fans, and I was disappointed that the house did not have a hot tub, as was advertised. There is a standalone bathtub in the master bathroom, but I wouldn’t consider that a hot tub. The kitchen was spacious and well-stocked. The bathrooms were spotless and had an array of toiletries for our convenience. The outdoor sitting area was absolutely perfect for a fire and watching the stars. We would absolutely stay here again.

Beautiful home away from home

This house was just as pretty in person as it is in the photos. The area is quiet and there are lovely views. We enjoyed the sunsets from the front porch. I will definitely book this home again.

Great house for getaway weekend

House was great! Open concept which was nice to visit with everyone. Kitchen has some stocked food and spices which was great for first day arrival. I love concrete floors however it makes you hear everything in the house early or late. Would stay again when in the area.

Star party headquarters

If your going to Fort Davis, Texas you probably are going for the observatory. Mark’s property was super convenient for this. We enjoyed the late night Star party and the night drive back was easy. House is clean and furnished nicely. I’m glad I had my sleep mask as I like dark room; just note the Sun does come in through the shades. Their is a tasty store / Deli super close that we enjoyed. Great back patio area with fire pit was enjoyable . Very quite area . We always prefer private properties over hotels and this lively home did not disappoint.

You get all the beauty of the dark skies, but drive and walk to town is convenient. Home is new and very comfortable. Road is not paved but adds to the charm of small town feel.

What makes this property unique

There is no way to describe the beauty of the mountain view from the porch and every window. The sunrise is different every morning and the light fills the entire home.
