Don’t book this property

Host never gave us our checkin information and we had to scramble after a day of travel to find alternative housing. Vrbo was great to work with but it cost us a day of our vacation.

Owner never responded multiple calls and text from me and Vrbo. Left us standed without a place to stay. Missed an event and had to scamble to find same day lounging. Reservation was made months in advance. If iIcould give a zero I would. Do not be scammed

Scam?

Do not book this property. The code to get in the gate did not work. The code to get in the house did not work. The host was unresponsive and therefore NO HELP. If it hadn’t been for neighbors passing by while we were trying to get into this house, we would have been sleeping in our vehicle. The nice man who watches over this property was kind enough to let us in with his code. But maybe we should have just given up then. Once inside we soon realized we had no heat and no hot water. And the gas line had been padlocked. What kind of host does that to people that had to pay the total amount for the rental up front one year in advance? Disgusting to say the least. Our vacation was ruined. We had to scramble to find another place. We stayed there 2 nights because we had no alternative. I begged the host to please do something to help us. No reply. Also I contacted Vrbo multiple times daily. No help there either. I spent countless hours for 9 days trying to get a refund. Finally on the 10th day we got the refund. We will NEVER rent a home through Vrbo again. And the host of this property should be banned from ever putting this house out there for rent again. I have now seen other similar bad reviews for this property. Wonder how many times this has happened to others with this same property. Sickening. It’s a scam.

Avoid this property

Skip this listing. We were not able to stay at this property and had to rearrange all of our accomodations- Property was NOT clean, dirty laundry sitting on top of washer/dryer. NO hot water, incorrect neighborhood gate code. Host will not communicate prior to arrival or during scheduled time. Attempted email, text, vrbo messaging both as the guest and customer service. No response to any of those. Save yourself some headache and pass on this.

Terrible experience!

What a stressful beginning to our month-long vacation! I chose this home as we have stayed in Peralta Trails many times and love the area. The access codes were not provided 3 days before check in as promised and the host was unresponsive to my messages through VRBO’s app and direct texts as well as to phone calls from VRBO’s help desk. As we were in the area the day before check in, we walked to the nome and fortunately met a neighbour who took us to see the man who looked after the home. He was able to contact the host and she finally provided the access codes the next day 3 hours before check in. It wasn’t until after we had unpacked that we realized there was no hot water. The host did not respond to us or the caretaker or VRBO’s help desk about this issue. The caretaker checked the hot water tank and discovered the gas had been shut off so he could do nothing. VRBO’s help desk was very responsive, offering a full refund and even offering to find us another place to stay. Luckily our vacation was saved as we were able to find another home in this community with the help of someone from whom we had previously rented.

Couldn't be better . . . .

We booked this home in Gold Canyon primarily to visit my elderly parents nearby in A.J. Besides being only a 12 minute drive to central Apache Junc., we had all the shopping we could possibly require within a 20 minute radius (Queen Creek, Superstition Mall, etc.). We were two in our late 50s and two under 25 yrs. The home was very peaceful, clean and lovely. Towels and other supplies were stocked and readily available. We liked very much that we could make our own breakfasts (unlike at a hotel) and other meals in the well-equipped kitchen. We actually squeezed in my brother grilling for us with the grill provided on the back patio. It worked fine. The area is very safe and quiet. Even in the heat of July, we saw literally hundreds of quail, along with rabbits, toads, and even 3 owls. The fitness center is large and clean, as is the pool --though we were so busy out with relatives that we only used the gym 1 evening--just a short walk from the home. My husband and adult kids were very grateful that I had found this accommodation for our visit!
