Very secluded and quiet yet very close to all the great places to visit. Had plenty of space for our family of four and was well stocked with everything we could need for making meals. The beach, which was a very short walk away, was beautiful! Would definitely stay again!
The property was as described in the listing. Wonderfully situated in the woods a short walk from an amazing beach. The sunsets couldn’t be matched. The rooms were open and spacious. We loved the property and the beach was beyond compare.

Beautiful Beach
Very peaceful setting in the woods. Not on the beach but you can see the water and it’s a short walk down a pretty private road. Really beautiful beach. Some rocks in the water but you can navigate a sandy path out. Nice layout for a small family. Well stocked kitchen as we usually experience no good frying pan or sharp knife so we always bring our own. Lots of towels provided. The Pantry had spices and vegetable oil most of it was expired, again, bring your own. The deck is big with lots of seating. It was covered in spider webs so we had a bit of clean up before we could use it. Bedrooms upstairs are warm. The thermostat is set at 72 downstairs. Fans provided upstairs were both broken, again we usually bring our own. The third room has a combination metal bunk bed unit with a full on the bottom twin on the top trundle underneath. Good for 4 kids. I tried to sleep in this room with my granddaughter as was not comfortable. WIFI was great. In need of outside maintenance and a better bed set up in the third room but I’d be back for the beach!!!

I live in Grand Rapids with my wife Melissa and our pup Marla. We love northern MI and love that we get to share it with others with the cottage.
Why they chose this property
This is quintessential "up north" - far enough north to feel secluded but still close enough to take advantages of cities like Petoskey, Charlevoix, and Mackinaw City. We also have loved discovering the smaller gems like Good Hart and Cross Village. It feels like a slower pace of living up here and is one of the best beaches we have found in Michigan.
