NOT cleaned - Horrible

The place was not cleaned properly. The queen beds didn't have sheets on them. One of the twin beds had a god-awful stain on the sheets - we have no idea what the stain was. The cabin smelled like moth balls. When we requested the place be cleaned properly - we were told they would out and take care of it. They didn't come clean - and to make it even worse they wouldn't tell us they were not coming. Which led to us having to go out after dinner and BUY queen sheets. The backyard had not been picked up - the chairs were blown over and plastic sleds were strewn about the yard. The hot tub cover needs to be replaced and is flaking off and making the hot tub experience not great. When we asked about the sheets, they person on the line asked " if we looked around for them" - WOW. We requested multiple times to be refunded for at least two night – this request was denied – Just crazy how unclean the house was and that we had to pay full price – to sleep on beds with no sheets. Obviously, I WILL NEVER STAY at a VACASSA property again.

Awful experience

Dirty house from top to bottom, floors were dirty under the beds trash, the toilette with poop and no seat, dirty kitchen, spiderwebs everywhere, blinds were dirty like nobody cleans that house for 10 years or more, beds without the sheets, dirty pillows, Imwe went to the store with my husband bought cleaning supplies and laundry detergent, we started cleaning and washing all the sheets because they had footprints on it we reported all this and the company returned only 95.00 really disappointed. I’m not going to use that house and company anymore.

Tweetsie cabin

Tweetsie house was very nice and well furnished. Outside balconies well placed and enjoyable for sitting and socializing. Kitchen a bit small but functional. Location is very easy for access to Boone, Banner Elk and Grandfather Mtn. Would stay there again.

OK if you can get in!

Nice area with good access to local attractions. Back veranda with seating is nice & peaceful. We had issues on more than one occasion with the keypad to get in & had to wait 30 mins the first time. We were supposed to be provided with a code to access the spare key & that never happened. If it's that temperamental, it should be changed! We've stayed at many places with keypads & never had an issue. Thankfully the staff were responsive. Also had issues with cleanliness in the main living areas & TV wouldn’t wouldn’t access channels the first day…other than that, it was fine!

Great, peaceful place to stay

This cabin was so roomy! We absolutely loved it. My only complaint would have to be the showers were not necessarily “user” friendly. But we would definitely stay here again! Highly recommend if you are with a group of 5 or more with kids!

Nice comfortable home

We enjoyed our stay. The house was nice and comfortable but the outside was not clean. The backyard needed mowing and sprucing up. The outdoor furniture was dirty. We were able to wipe down the main level porch and enjoyed it.

Sibling weekend

Lovely home. Main concern was the hot tub was slimy and home had deferred maintenance. But, the beds were comfy, the home was spacious and nicely decorated.

Awesome getaway cabin

Wow just wow. What a beautiful cabin and what a beautiful mountain. There's a waterfall a few 100 feet away. Beautiful view of Grandfather Mountain. From the two rear decks. Rooms are large comfortable. Bathrooms were clean. Gas fireplace was really cool..the jacuzzi was warm and clean. Location was easy to find and get to with my Honda even though it's only two wheel drive. Loved this place.

Hot tub and kichen

The hot tub was unusable and the dishwasher and outdoor trash cans where full and stink with rotten food. We washed the dishes and didn't help so left like it was and didn't use the dishes in the dishwasher.

Really great cabin

We loved this property! There was a lot of room including 3 full bathrooms and two balconies. The downstairs balcony was screened in. There are a lot of stairs so if you have anyone who doesn’t do well with stairs this may not be the property for you. There was a cute fire pit, but we didn’t get to use it due to rain. We did use the hot tub and it was nice. If you have light sleepers beware that the floors make a lot of noise when someone walks across them. The property was super clean and easy to fine and nicely located between Banner Elk, Blowing Rock and Boone.

Mountain relaxation

Our family, 2 adults, 2 teens stayed for 5 days. Plenty of bedrooms, beds and bathrooms so we didn’t have to fight for showers and the kids could have their own rooms. Lots of hiking options without a long drive. There’s even a waterfall in the neighborhood! We enjoyed the hot tub after our day of hiking. Perfect way to relax and unwind.
