There is ongoing construction occurring at the Aegean through 2025. Due to the construction on this unit being completed, there should be minimal disturbances. The walkway between Building 2 and the pool will be shut down during the work on that side of the building. There is fencing up between Building #1 and Building #2. Please make your party is going around the work being done. Please be advised, property is under construction until 2025. Pool will be closed until March.

This 2nd Level 2 bd / 2 ba unit has updated furnishings throughout. Sleeps 8 with a setup of; King - 2 Full Beds - Pull out Sofa. Large balcony overlooking the pool, and has an extended view to the Gulf of Mexico.

Needs updates

Gnats everywhere. Garbage disposal smelled terrible. Had to get bleach to cut the smell coming from it and put bowl over it! Only the king bed was comfortable. Terrible bathrooms. Tub didn't drain. Ick. Can barely turn around in on-suite bathroom. All air vents were caked in filthy dust/dirt. Fans covered in dust/filth. Pool was closed for no reason one afternoon.

Musty/moldy odor and cockroaches

The musty/moldy smell from the master bedroom was so severe we moved the mattress to the living room and placed towels under the door to prevent the smell from permeating the hallway and other bedroom. There was visible water damage in the ceilings of the master bedroom / master closet. We were visited by a 2 inch cockroach in the living room which we killed (can provide photos if needed) - which provided the majority of the excitement for that evening. The water pressure in both showers was non-existent. The linens were damp (but this might just be from Florida humidity). When we messaged the host regarding the mildew/moldy smell via VRBO we just received a response that he was out of town and to contact the main office. When we contacted the main office they just said they would send someone out (who never came). It seemed very evident that this unit and management company are focused on maximizing profit for minimal effort / expense. The Aegean itself was a great location and the beach was beautiful. Understandably, the water damage may be due to structural issues / the unit above (the entire condo is undergoing renovation soon). Just be aware of these potential health issues, especially if you have respiratory conditions.
