Spectacular Fall Color Views! Swimming, Fishing, boat, canoe, kayaks!

HEAVEN ROCKS!! Hear what silence really sounds like. Read our reviews! Heaven on Steven’s Lake overlooks this semi-private lake with a panoramic view of unspoiled shoreline located half way between Lake Superior and Lake Michigan. The location is ideal for day trips to the famous Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Fayette Historic Townsite, Kitchi-iti-kipi (Big Springs), National Wildlife Refuge, Grand Island, Shipwreck tour, along with many water falls and numerous light houses. Centrally located within the 500,000 acres that make up the eastern half of Hiawatha National Forest, there are multiple trail heads for day hiking trips, kayaking and canoeing, biking, fishing, and animal watching, all which lead to your 5 acre backyard and the forest that joins next to it. ATV rentals are located in Munising if you are seeking adventure and exploration on all the trails near Heaven on Steven’s Lake. Bring your bikes or rent one from the Ferry docks in town. There’s plenty to see. The home also offers both a fishing boat, 16’ canoe and 2 kayaks on site with life jackets for your pleasure. Both Munising and Manistique with their specialty restaurants are only 25 minutes in opposite directions with Lake Superior or Lake Michigan shorelines awaiting the agate rock hounds, sun-bathers, local craft seekers, casino players, and boaters. Heaven on Steven’s Lake provides the ultimate vacation location from door to trail for those looking to spend quality time as a family, and create everlasting memories!!!

Recently updated, this 2,000 sq. ft., 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom home sleeps 13 comfortably and features both an open layout and walk out basement on the lakeside. The well stocked kitchen includes a full size refrigerator, range, microwave, traditional drip coffee maker, K-cup coffee maker (bring your K-cups!), electric kettle for tea, toaster, pots & pans, slow cooker, waffle maker, plenty of dishes, utensils, spices along with a walk in pantry, and seating for eight. The kitchen and dining room open up to the spacious living room and entertainment center making it the perfect place to spend time together as a family. The modern tiled entry leads to carpeted floors which are highlighted by paneled tongue and groove aspen walls throughout the home for that Northwoods rustic charm with plenty of space for large families to gather or find quiet areas to enjoy. Acessed from the great room is a massive deck with a wrap around walkway and steps that lead out to the water. Relax on the deck, the downstairs patio, or the outdoor fire pit and enjoy the famous Michigan sunsets. No people, no regrets, just perfect solitude! Sit on the beach all by yourself and listen to the loons or watch the fish jump at the end of the dock. Then, put out the camp fire and crawl into bed with fresh, pure cotton sheets... Imagine...no one's going to bug you, no phone calls, no hassles.... all day long.

The master bedroom features a lake view with a log styled queen size bed and dresser to match, rustic nightstands, and a large closet. Two other bedrooms on the main floor offer queen size beds (new for 2015), ample closets, and views of the lake and wooded yard with mature hardwood and evergreen trees. One room offers a reading chair and dresser while the other has a twin bed; perfect for the young child that doesn’t want to be too far from their parents. The homeowners have recently upgraded all bedding complete with down pillows, high thread all-cotton sheets, quilted mattress covers and comforters. The bathroom on the main floor is roomy and has a large shower with bench, an adjacent laundry room, utility sink and plenty of storage. A new 48” Smart Full HD TV offers access apps to stream movies, connect to your social networks, or browse the Internet, all from your TV remote. If you have a Netflix account you can access your account direct from the remote along with Hulu, Pandora, and multiple USB plugs that allow external hard drive connections for your favorite home movies, videos, or pictures. Additionally, a brand new progressive scan DVD/CD player can play standard and home-burned music CDs, including those containing MP3 and WMA audio files. Also new for 2015 is a Sonos WiFi controlled stereo allowing you to connect and stream your entire music library, music services such as Pandora or Spotify, and hundreds of radio stations. Satellite TV and wireless connection complete your entertainment experience.

The fourth bedroom located downstairs is the largest of all and includes a queen bed, two twin beds, and a double bed along with an under-the-stairs children’s playhouse with toys making it a perfect getaway room for the kids. An open layout downstairs offers a second living room along with a flat screen television, satellite remote and DVD player. Included is a dinette table with seating for six overlooking the lake offering a place to play many of the children and adult games stored at the home or for the use of your wireless laptop. The second bathroom includes a tub shower and full amenities. All rooms downstairs lead out to the lakeside patio, fire pit, and beach areas.

Enjoy over 200 feet of lake frontage with a shallow sand beach on one side of the property and a softer beach on the other side with a 30' aluminum dock, perfect to tie up your boat! There is a gradual slope into the water - perfect for children to swim or fish off of the dock. There is also a public beach nearby that offers deeper access to a sandy beach including picnic areas and restrooms. Two general stores and one of the best restaurants with a 4.5 star rating is located but a few miles away even though you’ll never want to leave. Steven’s lake offers 15 acres of great fishing for pike, walleye, bass, perch, and bluegill. The boats or hiking trails allow you to explore the stream feeding the lake or the channel that feeds Little Steven's lake breached by a living beaver’s dam! The deck offers a large gas grill, charcoal grill, comfortable seating/tables, and bird feeders. Enjoy watching the abundant wildlife from the deck with a variety of migrating and local waterfowl, turkeys, deer, mink, beaver, and a pair of nesting eagles next to the house! The large yard includes a fire pit near the beach to enjoy the cool evenings with comfy chairs, glider, benches, and picnic table for meals outdoors, and enjoy stargazing.

The home offers a full catalog of maps, hikes, local restaurants/menus, equipment rental, and fun activities to do. We extend a warm invitation to you. Let Heaven on Steven’s Lake become your next happy vacation memory. You won't be disappointed.

Beautiful Place

Stevens Lake is beautiful, especially mornings, with mist on the water, and birds singing. It was nice to be able to get out on the lake in the boats.

Family vacation

Nice home. Stevens lake is shallow with a lot of weeds. Kids caught many small pike, several bass and lots of blue gill. Bring a fillet knife if not there is a midway general store about 15 miles where you can buy one. Munising is about 40 minutes away and Marquette is an 1 hr and 20 mins. Very peaceful, home is very well stocked. Would definitely stay again.

Lake Getaway

This property met our needs. We traveled with 5 children and 6 adults. We loved the relaxing, lake side home feel. Cooked meals, wet out on the kayaks and the boat. We also made campfires everyday. We took in some sightseeing in nearby towns. Perfect little getaway.

Lovely and Tranquil

We all loved our stay in this lovely home. The large picture windows gave us a great view of the Fall colored trees and the lake. Beds were comfy. We had bonfires every night. Went waterfall hunting - taking many photos of the falls and the peaking colors. We were too busy to take advantage of the boat or kayaks....... We created many lovely memories.......

Nice escape from it all

We very much enjoyed our remote get away for a week as a family. While we enjoyed quiet days at the cabin lounging or kayaking, we found access to Munising to the North and Manistique to the south quite easy. We were able to visit old favorites in the UP, while also creating new favorites. Our kids definitely loved our lazy lake days though. While our teenage girls certainly appreciated the quality wifi, they also enjoyed kayaking (for the first time) all over the lake when ever they could. Our young son enjoyed jumping off the dock and boat rides as well. We were able to enjoy nightly fires as the colors of sunset danced across the lake and the clouds reflected in its surface. Many deer, geese, crane, and other water fowl enjoyed the lake while we were there. The cabin is well appointed for plenty of family fun, and enough to do should you experience some rainy weather as well.

Amazing property! So quiet!

The house was perfect for our group of 8; I loved that we could all sit at the kitchen table together with plenty of room for meals and games (the kitchen was well stocked with all that we needed). There was also plenty of seating outdoors, both on the deck, and down by the lake, to enjoy campfires, peace and quiet, or conversations (the swing!) The lake was lovely and quiet (not much luck fishing, but there are plenty of other lakes to fish nearby). Our kids (and I) enjoyed taking turns with the two kayaks exploring the lake and the attached Little Steven's Lake. Also took walks around the property and down the road a bit--it's SO beautiful! We saw either a moose or elk track (family debated over which), deer, bald eagle, little toads in the yard, lots of birds... :) We made a few day trips to Whitefish Point and Tahquamenon Falls, Munising to do the Pictured Rock cruise, and at Marquette to visit Black Rocks and a fun Escape Room ("Catch a Killer" was SO much fun!) The hosts were easy to contact and very friendly! Highly recommend this property!

50th anniversary celebration

I would highly recommend this property to anyone interested in spending some quality family time in the Upper Peninsula. We absolutely loved the rustic atmosphere ,having the lake as our backyard, the firepit at the lakeside to relax around at the end of the day, gaze at the stars and just spend time together. It was close enough that doing the tourist thing was not an issue yet remote enough that you truly felt like you were away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Lack of cell phone service was actually a welcome reprieve. This home was so well equipped, we actually brought more than we needed b/c past experience with other rentals led us to believe that the kitchen would lack tools we needed to prepare meals. Not so here! Everything you needed for everyday living needs was more than adequately supplied. Really felt that Lisa and Tom had bent over backwards to ensure we had everything we needed and then some. Although this was not your traditional celebration, we can think of no better way to celebrate than spending quality time in a beautiful place with the people you love the most. Thank you for sharing this home and making a forever memory for our family

Good isolated spot for a vacation

Liked the house, but not the roads to get there. House is carpeted in the kitchen, a bit hard to keep it clean. Lots of beds. Lake has Leches. But probably good for fishing, but I don't know for sure. Lots of frogs for entertainment with children.

"Heaven" lives up to it's name

Our group of 8 throughly enjoyed our stay at Steven's Lake! The setting is beautiful and peaceful and the house is comfortable and clean and had all the conveniences we needed. We loved the deck and the fire pit area. The dock and fishing boat and canoe were great for our fishermen. The location is centrally located for our many sightseeing trips. Lisa and Tom were great to work with! They answered all our questions quickly. In short, "Heaven" was exactly what we were hoping for and we plan to come back when we visit the UP again!

Very clean and well furnished. Very relaxing.

Loved the setting. The house was very clean and well furnished, even spices. Although it did take a while to figure out how to get to various attractions. We ended up getting a map from the park ranger. One item that we wished we had access to was the renting of a larger boat or pontoon. However, the property did come with two canoes, two kayaks and a row boat. There were plenty of life jackets.

Great property for the whole family!

This is a perfect upper-woods vacation house and property for the whole family. Plenty of room in the house for our party of 11. House is just what you need. Very secluded. Lake is small but surprisingly fished well. Plenty of panfish to catch for kids, decent bass and pike also. The kids had a blast and the stay was very relaxing for the adults. We will be returning.

Unforgettable beauty and tranquility

Our 3rd visit to Heaven! Each year a few more family members join us for a week of fun and to recharge our batteries. This year we had to rent two houses on the lake! I can not say enough about this beautiful lake house. They take every little detail into consideration. The kitchen is wonderful but we use the grill more than the stove! Comfortable furniture, tasteful decor and a huge deck. You can't ask for a better set up! Our group of 8 are always quite comfortable and feel at home. They provide kayaks, a canoe and row boat and we use it all! The fire pit by the lake has plenty of benches and chairs. Lisa and Tom are wonderful hosts and go out of their way to make sure you have an excellent experience.

Fantastic! Secluded but still close to everything

This property is wonderful! Very secluded and relaxing on Lake Stevens. Full equipped kitchen and grills to enjoy meals at home. Very open and airy. Close to Munising to enjoy activities and then home to relax. Loved watching the muskrat or otter's that would swim home each evening, Kayaking, canoeing, and fishing! Can't wait to come back.
