About this property

Deluxe Ski-In/Out Home | Walking Distance to Resort | Cozy Fireplace

Welcome to Big Horn 68! Tucked right at the base of Big Sky Resort, this 3-bedroom, 3-bath Big Horn condo is the place to be to experience Big Sky's spectacular views, access to activities, and dining options. Whether it's hopping on the Lone Peak Expedition in the summertime, or strapping on your boots for skiing November through April, you'll be a stone's throw from all of the adventures that Big Sky Resort has to offer.

In the winter, skip the pains of loading your car with ski gear- you'll only need to walk over to the "Bear Back" Poma lift which will give you a direct shot to Big Sky Resort's Mountain Village. Experience the terrain for yourself by skiing to the Northern Madison Base, weaving back to mid-mountain lifts like Powder Seeker, loading up on the tram to the peak (make sure to get your ticket in advance!), and skiing down the backside runs all the way to Shedhorn Grill, where some lunch and drinks are deserved. Find playful runs all the way back to the main Mountain Base, where you'll follow the Bear Back run back to your condo.

* The Bear Back Poma Lift closes on April 16th!

In the summer, consider renting a paddleboard or kayak to cruise through Lake Levinsky. Or, strap your hiking boots on and adventure up the mountain on the various trail that allows uphill traffic- just be sure to watch for mountain bikers! If you aren't ready for a hike to the ridgeline, check in with Big Sky Resort's Basecamp to book a spot on the Lone Peak Expedition- offering Montana's highest scenic viewpoint! Great for the entire family.

Additional Notes
We are a local property management company. So if there is anything you need before, during, or after your trip, please let us know!

This home does not have air conditioning.

Most homes in Big Sky don't, thanks to our typically mild summer temperatures. For a true Montana experience, we recommend our classic "Montana A/C": open the windows at night to let in the cool mountain air, then close them and draw the blinds first thing in the morning to keep the cool air inside throughout the remainder of the day.

Transportation to Big Sky from Bozeman Airport
In order to experience all that Big Sky has to offer, it is helpful to have access to a vehicle during your stay. This allows you to travel seamlessly throughout the community from the Gallatin River to Lone Peak. While ride-sharing and taxi services are abundant in other communities, Big Sky remains a small town with limited options for transportation. We offer a 5% discount code to Explore Rentals for confirmed guests. They are located minutes away from the Bozeman Airport and provide 4 wheel drive vehicles with dedicated snow tires in the winter and all-season tires in the summer!

Five Star Stay!

The house, location and amenities were everything we could have hoped for. Property managers are excellent and highly responsive. When we realized a last-minute need for a travel crib for our youngest, they came over promptly on a Friday evening! The house is well stocked with all the creature comforts and your proximity to the base of the mountain is ideal! We would stay again in a heartbeat.

Great Location

Our family of five enjoyed our stay. Walking distance to the village with the poma lift right across the street. An alarm did go off in the garage (guessing it was the battery) but they had someone out very quickly to handle it. We would definitely stay here again.

Great time

The condo had everything we needed. It was beautiful and clean and very convenient to the slopes. We had some issues with the plumbing but management fixed them quickly.

Hot water for 8 minutes and little help from management

We stayed at this property for 5 nights for over 6800. It was a great location, walkable to a lift, and a nice layout. This house is for 8 people, we had 5 people-3 adults and 2 kids. After an 8-minute shower, the hot water would run out. We immediately contacted management, who sent over a handyman. This handyman told us that the hot water heater was too small and too old for the property and hadn't been drained in a long time.We had to spread out our showers 2 hours apart, which can be challenging with putting 2 kids down to bed. Or stagger our showering in the morning and evening. We were told there was nothing to be done to fix the issues and nothing to compensate us for the inconvenience. Also, when we arrived, there was a blanket behind the couch sitting on top of the baseboard heater which was singed brown and a fire hazard. And the garage remote control didn't work.So while it was a good location, not having hot water after a long day of skiing was a major inconvenience to say the least, and management was delayed and unhelpful in their response.
