About this property

Fabulous Find/CozyCondo Nestled in the Pines/Fishn'/Hikin'/Central/Bryce/ZionGem

Our SINGLE level, 960 sq. ft. LARGE 3 bedroom, 1 bath Condo is located at 8500 ft. in Duck Creek Village, well known as the 'Heart of Color Country'. It is nestled in a pine tree hillside and is easily accessed off of the scenic highway. You access this condo in the back, bringing you right to your front door. You'll have no long walks, elevators or flights of stairs when unloading your personal belongings for your vacation stay. However, in the winter it's not recommended to drive up the hill to your door.

Absolutely NO PETS and NO SMOKING!!!

Also, we don't have cameras like most places. You'll get the privacy you deserve!

There are now 6 of these cozy condo's. PERFECT for friends or families vacationing together. If this property isn't available, please check VRBO #252336, #252348, #1562501, #1562502 and #1918102

Our 960 sq. ft. spacious Condo is centrally located between Zion, Bryce and Cedar Breaks National Monument. It is a breath of fresh cool air as we are at 8500 ft in elevation, where air conditioning isn't needed. It's a perfect place to relax after your hikes in the warmer areas of the National Parks. Enjoy the amazing scenery and famous hiking trails. Aspen Mirror Lake, Navajo Lake and Panguitch Lake are within minutes of the Condo along with several excellent fly-fishing streams/rivers. There are over 500 miles of ATV trails. During the winter there is great snow for snowmobiling and sledding, and at Brian Head Summer and Ski resort you can take in GREAT skiing or snowboarding. During the summer, enjoy the beautiful wild flowers and wildlife. You are sure to see Deer and Turkey abound! Horseback riding is also available in the village.

This cozy and very clean Condo is furnished with everything you'll need for a comfortable stay. There is satellite TV/DVD and WiFi for your convenience. There are 2 Queen beds (1 in each bedroom). The den has a full size bed. Both bedrooms and living room have ceiling fans to assure you the comfort you deserve. For sure, this is a GREAT home base for your Southern Utah vacation. It is easy access to just about anything you enjoy in the mountains. Visiting the National Parks, taking in a fishing day, ATV or Horseback riding, a day at the Sand Dunes, hiking or just a simple picnic are just minutes away. You can access ATV/Snowmobile trails right from the Condo.

We just added a FIRE PIT! You can enjoy roasting hotdogs, marshmallows or the kids new favorite (STARBURST CANDY)!!! The roasted marshmallows make the BEST roasted dessert, S'Mores!!!! (graham cracker, chocolate, roasted marshmallows). Just put the chocolate and roasted marshmallow between the graham cracker and it makes a great sandwich dessert. MM.. Goooood! You'll never forget it!

Directly across the street is Duck Creek Village. It's a fun happening little village. There's Restaurants, Coffee Shops, Ice cream Shop, Pizza Place, Gift Shops and a Convenient Store/Gas Station. There are snowmobiles and 4-wheelers available for rent as well. It's all conveniently located within walking distance from our Condo.

Fall Season........the gorgeous color change of the leaves is a sure thing to talk about! Also, don't miss the opportunity of playing in Utah's snow, well known as 'The Greatest Snow on Earth'. Holidays fill up quick, so don't hesitate. Reserve your nights for that special family vacation in Utah's 'Winter Wonderland'.

There is an international airport in Las Vegas and Salt Lake City. Cedar City has a regional airport as well. Las Vegas and Salt Lake are both linked with Interstate 15 which has an exit to Cedar City. It's just a short 30 min. on a beautiful scenic drive up the mountain on Hwy 14 to Duck Creek Village.

Come visit, you won't be disappointed!

Needs maintence/repair

Our stay was comfortable and met our needs and we were grateful for modern conveniences as the rest of the family was camping. However the place is outdated if that matters to you. Here are a few things that need repaired: Broiler not working in oven. Oven was filthy. Light bulbs burned out in queen bedroom. Exhaust fan broken in bathroom. No Aircondiioning. No wire whip to mix things with. Decorative pillows/cases not cleaned between guests.

Cozy condo

Cozy 3 bedroom condo in Duck Creek Village. Surprised by the elevation change and the ride to the nearest city, Cedar Break, for groceries was quite a steep decent and climb back up! Duck Creek is a small village located in a wonderful pine forest. We only stayed a couple of nights but enjoyed our stay. Beds are comfortable and kitchen has all you need to cook a nice meal. Big comfortable couch for watching a movie and relaxing.

Comfortable

It's a bargain, but not fancy. A good pitstop if you want to go off-roading. The host was quick to respond to my messages. One of the "bedrooms" isn't legally a bedroom because it doesn't have a closet or a window. The grill is the kind you find at the park. The amenties listed a spa but there wasn't any spa.

Nice condo close to Bryce Canyon

We chose this place as it was close to Bryce Canyon. It was a nice property and as advertised. We did have a problem with the bathroom sink but the owner was quick to come over and fix it. My only complaint would be the internet connection is very slow. We like to bring our own Roku and there were times it would not connect. I am not sure if all of the condo's are attached to the same internet but based on slowness, I would think they are. Otherwise, the condo was clean and well stocked and I would stay here again.

Close to parks

Stayed here while visiting national parks. Close to Zion and Bryce Canyon , as well as Cedar Breaks and The North Rim. The unit was clean and plenty of room. Could use some dressers on the bedroom for clothes storage. Nice views from two of the bedrooms across the valley. Watch out for the mule deer along the highway. We came in from the South, and stopped at Walmart in Page for supplies. Duck Village is convenient and Hot Mama’s pizza is pretty good, but a little pricey. would definitely stay again.

Very hard to find

There was no street sign and Hillside inn is behind the Inn, if it was in front then it was covered by snow. It was very far from Brice and Zion national park but we know that is our fault for not doing more research. The kitchen was poorly stocked with pans that were very poor quality. The light over the sink did not work. There was one washcloth for a 4 day stay and the toilet paper was the thinnest I have ever felt.

April at Duck Creek

Initially, we had a difficult time finding the property as everything around us was buried in snow. A bit of a challenge navigating the muddy driveway from all of the snow runoff. Also pretty slick going down or trying to come back up early in the morning when it was frozen. The condo itself was extremely comfortable with most everything we needed. Could have used a wine bottle opener; we borrowed one from the neighbor. Owner was very responsive when we had an issue with the dvd player. Good access in either direction to both Zion and Bryce Canyon. Overall a great experience!

CRAZY WEATHER, BEAUTIFUL SCENERY & CLEAN COMFY SPACE.

I knew to prepare for snow. BUT I didn’t realize how much. I was blown away by the shear magnitude of it. Was on edge all 3 days of the roof caving in. But the house was clean, warm and beautiful.

Duck Creek Village

(Note: If renting during winter months Dec-March make sure to have a vehicle thats All wheel drive, 4x4, snow tires or chains accessible. ) Wish we knew before renting and to avoid having to leave early due to snow storm. House was good for us. Make sure you take your own toilet paper/Napkins and laundry soap if stay more than 2-3days. They provide limit amounts and Laundry soap is only for their linens. There are some condiments left from other guest. Check whats there before buying more of the same. Cons: pans in desperate upgrade ( bacon should not stick to them), tv needs upgrading to a Smart one. (after our hikes would have been nice to be able to what our shows and not have hard time with satellite), no refunds due to storms (sometimes as a courtesy or credit would be nice so guest can want to return). Overall the stay was good.
