Awesome location
The place has everything you need and the location is awesome. The only thing that would make this 5 stars is getting new beds. The futon in the loft has a dent in the middle and the bed in the master was not comfortable at all.

Needs some updates
Good overall location, property is a bit dated and run down, needs new windows, some sheets and pillows had stains, trash under beds and couch. Property host and owner were responsive to a couple issues we had including needing some clean pillow cases and a leak dripping water on my wife’s clothes.

Cozy, but nice. Great location close to Snowflake chair. Rented skis at Charter Sport next to lift. Garage is small and tight to get into. They offered a parking pass but we made it in the garage with a Toyota 4 Runner.

Smaller than expected
Older unit that could use some updating. The unit was smaller than expected. 6 adults are a CROWD in this unit. I should have suspected something of this nature due to the lack of pictures online. The garage is very difficult to get a vehicle into unless it is a small compact. No way I could get the mini-van in. The location is good and very close to the Snowflake lift. The second bed is actually a trundle bed. A full bed will probably fit in the room OK, so nut sure why they don't do that.

Ski family trip
Had a great 4 days Ski trip. 2 minute walk to bottom of snowflake lift and charter[big sky) ski rental. During Covid you can leave Skies at charter at end of day and walk back in ski boots. At night 5 minute walk to town and eat at the many restaurants at 50% capacity now. The unit is aged but very comfortable.Owner very cooperative; all in all a great time.

Nice Location
We really enjoyed the location with it being only a short walk up the hill to the chair lift and it was nice to be able to ride all the way down 4' o clock. The property is smaller and a bit cramped, I hit my thigh on the edge of the bed upstairs several times because it is hard to get around (I am not a large person). It was nice that there was ample toilet paper and kitchen supplies. We were able to cook most nights as it is difficult to go out and have dinner with all the COVID restrictions. My only other real complaint is that this place needs a deep cleaning. It is surface clean but we found candy wrappers and a Dr Pepper behind the couch, there is a sock on one of the upper ledges and lots of dust bunnies in crevices on the ledge. Every single person in our party of 5 was sneezing constantly while in the condo. Overall, we came to snowboard and that is what we did and none of the things we didn't care for about the condo stopped us from having fun.

Not as expected. Not ski in/ski out. First time to Breckenridge.
Coming from Florida, with only 4 days of skiing, we plan our VRBO's to maximize our time on the mountain. We look for ski in/ ski out properties. We know that we will need a midday break and plan to ski in for lunch and then back out for the afternoon. Although this property was advertised as ski in/ski out- stating it is 100 steps from the ski lift and take your skis off across the street on the way back- we did NOT find that to be the case. The walk UPHILL to the lift is closer to 400 steps in full gear. The ski in ended at the side of the 4 o'clock run, walk with your gear through another condo complex and it's parking lot, cross the street and go through this complex to the unit with a second floor entry. IF this is what you are expecting, it's fine, but in 8 years of renting through VRBO for our ski trips to Copper (x2), Steamboat, Crested Butte, Park City, Snowmass, Whistler and now Breckenridge, this is NOT and shouldn't be consideredski in and/or ski out. We ended up not coming back each day because of this hassle and spent a lot more $ on on mountain meals ($18 burgersx4x4days) than we planned. Also know that the condo complex is not managed. Parking lot was a sheet of ice- not plowed- and when melting snow pooled at the base of our stairway, no-one was around to notice/fix the situation. I shoveled and scraped the ice and put down some salt I found in the ski closet. The pool and jacuzzi is a ten minute walk down the road and then back uphill ten minutes. BRING a towel! There may have been a cut through through the hotel but they did not clear their back stairway and so it was not passable. The inside of condo itself was ok for the time we were there. It is creative with the space. The "master" is upstairs with a small bathroom. The beds were comfortable and the hot water and shower pressure were good. We had quality time with our teenagers all sharing the single sofa to watch tv in the evenings. We were glad for the washer/dryer even though it is a little difficult to get to. Kitchen could use some more plates and bowls. The theme was nice but all the fake plants/decorations had not been dusted in.... a long time. Allergies went nuts within a few minutes being in the unit. We did register our complaints with the owner and they agreed to adjust our payment. We are waiting for a credit (unknown $ amount) to our card 12 days post check out. Owner says glitch with VRBO. Was just not what we expected.

Spacious condo in perfect Breck location !
We loved staying at “the retreat.” The owner Carla Little gave me her cell phone and she responded promptly with any concerns. This condo was perfect for our family of four. It is much larger than it looks in the pics. We could not believe how warm the gas fireplace kept it. We didn’t even use the central heat or space heaters. We had friends stay for NYE and they slept on the pullout. We did not use the upstairs loft- my kids thought it was too hot. We enjoyed the full size kitchen, washer/dryer in the unit, and two full baths. This condo is right by the snowflake chairlift which allows you to ski into peak 8 base. The 4 o’clock ski run is across the street. So, it is ski in - ski out but simply have to remove skis to cross street. We used Breck sports for our ski rentals but would use Charter at the snowflake lift next time just bc closer. We walked into town on our “day off “ and most evenings. The main part of village is literally a block away. We did not have a car and could get anywhere we wanted in Breck. There are two grocery stores within walking distance and on the bus line. City Market has a pharmacy. The bus and trolley are free. Next time we will rent a car so that we can ski other resorts. There is a free parking spot and separate garage spot. We also snow shoe hiked at the Nordic center which is on bus line. The only “hiccup” we had was with my 12 yo son ski school. They overbooked his class and he never even made it on the lift that day. I would recommend trying the ski school at beaver run or just teaching your kids on peak 9 which is the easiest. The black line bus takes you there. The hot tub is super nice. It is a block away so recommend you use the locker room there instead of going in your suit. Our hair was frozen when we got back!!! Favorite places we ate-Motherload, Eric’s downstairs (pizza with huge arcade) , Italian (in the area with Joy of Sox and the book store ) , crepe al a carte (if you get there early morning - no wait), Kanosh steak house. Restaurants were Atleast an hour wait so get your name on then enjoy all the interesting shops. A moose walked right in front of us in the village last night! Our favorite ski lodge was Vista Haus.

The perfect convenient get away!
Perfect distance between best of both worlds: Snowflake lift and all that Main St Breck had to offer. Very well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Such a cozy place for our family of 4. As advertised! Walking distance to snowflake lift for an awesome stay for snowboarding/skiing!
We had 6 adults stay here (3 couples in our mid 20's) for our NYE snowboarding trip. As others reviewed it is on the smaller side but we thought it was cozy! Kitchen was well stocked and it was about a 5 minute walk to the slopes. The community hot tubs were a bit of a walk away so didnt really utilize them which was kind of a bummer but other than that overall great place to kick back and relax after a day on the mountains!

Great Location - As Advertised
Great location. Easy 1-block walk to the lift and ski out area. You can store your skis at the bottom of snowflake lift during lunch and then jump back on the slopes. Easy walk to town as well. Owners were great to work with and were very honest with their presentation. We had six and it was a perfect size. Would stay here again!

We had a great time in this cozy ski in-ski out condo, nicely furnished, easy to get our rental car in and out even during big snowfall. 2 blocks to cute town on Breckenridge. We would certainly return! Loved the crock pot!

cozy clean unit near snowflake lift
pros: clean, nicely decorated, well stocked kitchen, plenty of towels, comfortable beds, great sleeping area for 3 kids plus master bedroom- also couch in living room, space heaters in each room, washer/dryer in unit, walking distance (10 minutes) to town (lots of restaurants/shops); walk to Snowflake lift- double lift on peak 8 /lift tickets can be purchased there; can ski down 4 oclock run which is very close to condo; no key needed- just access code- so no worries about lockout; owner accessible by phone for questions. Cons: Not very roomy- The unit's efficient and creative design makes the most of small amount of space. Upstairs (master) bedroom with bathroom -bed takes up whole room, tiny bathroom, - did not bother us- but don't expect a lot of room to move around or a lot of room for luggage. Pool/ hot tub complex was disappointing- it is completely off site - just about 5 minutes walk- not the easiest to find in the dark with the staircase covered in snow- also pool is not very warm and is outdoor only- there is a hot tub outside which is dangerously and uncomfortably hot- probably about 107 degrees- also one inside- which is a little cooler but still much too hot- none of the adults could bear it for more than a few minutes- both are way too hot for children- we planned to go in the hot tub each evening after skiiing, but only went once because it wasn't pleasant. Parking - each unit has it's own garage, but if you have a large car (we had rented a full size impala) it is almost impossible to pull in to the very tight space. If your car doesn't fit in the garage there are only a few spots (5 or 6) in front of the condo complex- other than this there is absolutely no other street parking nearby.

6/10 Okay

Smaller than expected
Although this property can sleep 6, it cannot fit 6 in the common living area. We were supposed to have 4 people on this trip, thankfully, 1 cancelled because there was no place for them to sit in front of the tv or fire...unless it was on the floor. The master bathroom is very tight. Stairs are steep leading to master bedroom. d The location is wonderful however. Able to walk to the chairlift and the shops.
