Perfectly situated near Madison, the University of Wisconsin, Stoughton, and McFarland, our cottage offers a harmonious blend of peaceful seclusion and convenient access to local attractions. Wake up to stunning sunrises over the water and unwind with picturesque sunsets from the comfort of your private deck.

The space
Lake Access - The property offers pier access seasonally, typically from Memorial Day through Labor Day, please confirm with us. Boat launch located less than 1 mile away at Fish Camp County Park.

Lake Use - Lake and ice conditions vary, please contact us for up-to-date condition reports based on the WI Department of Natural Resources.

Guest access:
Access to the full cottage and sauna/change room, with exception of one locked storage closet. No garage access available.

Indoor Fireplace - The fireplace is not currently operational, so guests will not able to use at this time.

Outdoor Firepit - Guests can use the outdoor firepit. Guests can purchase wood from any nearby gas station.

Lovely Cottage Getaway

We stayed here to visit family in the area. The cottage is so cute with all the nicest touches for a great week away. The hosts were so thoughtful - they’ve thought of everything. Location is great - close to town yet peaceful and serene. There’s a new bike path nearby that is amazing. Highly recommend! The only downside is that Kegonsa Lake and the others in the area were thick green with algae when we were there in September. We fished but didn’t keep anything.

A great week

This cabin has a historical feel and touch with all the modern convinces. The location is perfect on the shore of a very scenic lake. We loved our time there

Cozy cottage, magnificent view

We highly recommend this wonderful cottage. It is clean, comfortable, well-equipped, and has a great view of Lake Kegonsa. The sauna was a nice treat after a long day, as well. The hosts were very generous with a later checkout to accommodate our toddler's schedule. We hope to stay again someday!

Very Enjoyable Stay!

My family really enjoyed our stay at the Cozy Cottage on Lake Kegonsa! It was very clean, comfortable and relaxing being right on the lake. Highly recommended!

CrossFit games

We stayed at this lake front cottage for a week while visiting Madison for the CrossFit games. It had everything we needed and was so cute. Large windows throughout the home really brought the outside in. We loved our slower mornings sitting out back on the deck with a cup of coffee and afternoon lunch out on the dock with a good book. The sauna was relaxing after a long day. All in all we had a wonderful stay and I find myself at home now wishing I had that view to wake up to!
