Charming, wonderful stay!
We absolutely loved our stay at this house! We stayed for three weeks with our 3 & 4 year old. We also had friends join us in the house for “2” days that turned into 7, because they loved it so much and there was enough space that we didn’t get sick of each other. The house itself is laid out so that you can have a large family here and everyone has enough space. It is a great place to have a couple of different generations in the same home, complete with books, games and Legos.
Everything we possibly could have wanted was provided and I thoroughly appreciated the fact that this is actually someone’s vacation home and they use it as a second family home. So many of the rentals now are without character and we loved that THIS home was full of heart and history.
We saw moose several different days in the backyard, and saw bears a few times as well! Deer were always around and staying at this house enhanced our stay in Steamboat so much! I will never forget my kids saying that “we see animals every day at ‘our Steamboat house’!”
We found the owners to be absolutely welcoming, and could not have appreciated them more. It is such unique space; as we were packing our car to leave, some people biking by were saying “Look at that house, it’s so cool” and we confirmed to them that yes, it really is!
We enjoyed the hot tub every single day, the views of hot air balloons, and riding bikes to the grocery store, downtown, and to the base area on the mountain. Book it!
