Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful vacation. The condo was clean and beautiful. All the amenities such as the pool, hot tub, being right on the beach, parking etc.. couldn’t be better. Florida Lifestyle Vacation Rentals were a breeze to work with and very welcoming when checking in. It’s the perfect location for us. We definitely will be returning.

Much needed family getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a very spacious condo right on the beach. Great location. Kids (14 yo boy & 12 yo girl) enjoyed shelling, fishing and walking on the beach. This is their 2nd time in this area and they love it here. Unit was clean and the rental company was quick to help with what we needed. We had a view of the pool and the beach. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. We would stay in the Beach Cottages again. I wish there was a way to pick up/drop off the keys at the condo complex, but understand that the units work with different rental companies. The office to pick up/drop off keys was not far away, though (we did check in late and checked out early). This is my 4th time staying in this area. We recommend Guppy’s (grouper, poke bowl), Yahoos (grouper), Slyce, and DJ’ clam shack (lobster rolls) restaurants

Greatly Disappointed

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we first walked in the mildew smell hit you throughout condo. We realized after our shower the black mildew covered the shower floor (actually in both bathrooms). We called the office and they said "all they could do is give us a new new bath mat and a mat for the shower. If we wanted it cleaned there would be an additional charge." Everything we hung in the closet smelled of mildew. Carpet and floors were filthy and everyone had black on the bottom of their feet everyday. Slats in blinds fell in both rooms when first opened. Could not use screen doors, because they did not work properly. Tables, mantel, lamp shades, and all decorative items had thick amount of dust on them. Most cooking pots and pans were damaged and had caked on food. Knives were broken and dangerous. Plated and bowls were dirty and needed to be soaked. Washing machine had black residue in it and we had to scrub it before we could wash a load. Master bedroom toilet was unavailable until it was replaced the next day. No batteries in the TV remote in second bedroom. Bath tube drained so slow it had six to eight inches of standing water and the toilet did not flush properly. The door jam in the second bedroom was broken and the door would not close fully. Condensation on the window dripped inside daily. Turned up the furnace one degree and a horrific smell filled the condo and set off the smoke alarm. Went to the office the next morning to let them know about the poor conditions and the furnace setting off the smoke detector and we were quickly dismissed. We were told to put a towel over the smoke detector and open up the doors to air it out. We also showed a picture of the dirty bath mat covered in mildew. They called later to tell us a furnace man would be by to check it out. There was roof construction daily starting early morning to evening. Black soot and debris fell on balcony and covered table and chairs so we could not sit out to enjoy the view.

No discount because of this. 3 flights of stairs with suitcases, and groceries, up and down to the beach. Bathrooms and bedrooms clean. Glass tables and mirrors everywhere, and they appeared dirty. Beach was wonderful saw manatees and dolphins.

We look forward to coming to our little piece of paradise every year. The only suggestion is for the parking garage lights to be changed to a lower Lumen to protect the sea turtles. Unfortunately one was drawn to the parking garage and sadly didn’t make it to the ocean.

Great pool deck and beach access

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We’ve been coming to Beach Cottages for 16 years (many years on the first floor when the kids were little). We love it. The reason for the 4’s is because the unit wasn’t super clean and the bedding was lack luster. The cushions on the outside balcony loungers were so worn and faded. Our group had a total of 9 condos rented and this one was dated in comparison to some others but still had updated kitchen and bathrooms so not terribly outdated. We wanted to book again for next year because we love this complex, but the price went up so much that we didn’t rebook. I would recommend this location and even this condo (it was our second stay in this condo, but my mother rented it several times in the past too). We like the Gulf view and the view of great pool deck. We had a wonderful trip and were not in the condo that much. It had a well equipped kitchen.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience at Beach Cottage #1312. The condo was absolutely lovely. We are a small family of three and had more than enough space to accommodate us (honestly this condo was large enough to accommodate another family of three). The beds were comfortable and the living room furniture was perfect for lounging and watching tv. We loved having a washer and dryer in the unit. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed and we even took advantage of the grills outside on the pool deck. The grounds were well maintained and the pool area is fantastic. This is our second year at the Beach Cottage and we were even more impressed this year. The beach is literally steps away and was never crowded. I also feel like I need to mention how wonderful the group at Florida Lifestyles were to work with. Our booking agent Cathy made booking this a breeze and was always so prompt and friendly in all of my emails to her. We also had a situation with a blown fuse resulting in no power. I called the agency and spoke with Lisa who immediately had someone in route to fix the issue. My family and I left to do some shopping and when we returned a couple of hours later the issue was fixed. We have stayed in lots of places over the years and the customer service at Florida Lifestyle was above and beyond any other agency we have worked with.We had a wonderful time and are looking forward to our next trip!

nice updates

this is our 2nd year in a row staying at Beach Cottages. great location and beach. Has it all: pool, hot tub, grills and Volleyball... Updated Master BR furniture from last year was very nice. (still wish they would allow simple dry goods and such like salt, pepper, aluminum foil, cooking oil, spices... to be left instead of getting rid of it all). there are a few beach items and beach towels left for use which is nice.

Beautiful Sunsets

Large and spacious condo with the perfect balcony for watching the sunset. Location is great with easy access to the beach. Pool, grill area and covered parking a bonus. Enjoyed our stay!

Quiet Spot to Escape

Reviewer Comments: The condo is located at a prime spot to escape the busyness of a Spring Break crowd, yet its' location allows you to walk for ice cream at the Candy Kitchen or a bite to eat at Seabreeze. Our kids grabbed the trolley on more than one occasion to go to Clearwater and St. John's Pass. The size of the kitchen was one of the largest we've had for a condo. It has a 4-person table in the kitchen in addition to the 6-person table in the dining area. The open concept allows you to still interact with others while food prepping.To enter the condo, you use an actual key which was a little bit of an inconvenience when your hands are full, but we managed. Overall, a lovely condo!

Very nice property

The condo was very nice, clean, and stocked with anything you’d need to make meals. The view from the balcony was gorgeous. I was lucky enough to wake up early to a beautiful full moon reflecting off the water. We did use the guest parking lot because it was closer to the elevator than our assigned spot. We would love to stay there again .

Nice property --- could have a few more items

This 2 bedroom condo is very nice, and has a balcony overlooking the GUlf and the pool. Nice kitchen and the furnishings are fine. There is a smart TV and DVD player, but no instructions on which remote control does what. THere are no amenities --- not kitchen or cooking items other than one roll of paper towels, no salt & pepper and one packet of dishwasher detergetn. One roll of tooilet paper per bathroom, no beach towels or chairs. With just a few of these items would make it perfect. We would still stay here again....exceleent location and furnishings.

A great week in a beautiful location!

We had a great week at the beach cottages. Everything was kept clean and orderly. There were plenty of kitchen supplies to cook with. The only thing I would recommend would to have the basic essentials like salt and pepper. It was a lovely week and would definitely recommend staying here.

Fun in the Sun!

We had a great week at this condo. The view of the ocean and the pool made our lunches on the balcony very nice. We did not smell the bird sanctuary from our balcony which is the problem we had a few years ago in a different condo at this facility. I would suggest getting a couple better beach chairs and have some beach towels for travelers that fly and don’t have the extra space to pack them. We sleep with fans so the added box fans for each room were very nice. Also and added bonus was the keyless entry to the beach access made it easier than using a key. I think a keyless entry to the room would be a nice addition. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this to our family and friends.

Upon looking for a place to stay, I found many places unavailable, started getting nervous we would have to cancel our plans. I called Florida Lifestyles rental and spoke with Cathy, she was very helpful and told me about Beach Cottage 1312. She walked me through their website so I could see the property and described the area. We discussed and finalized everything over the phone. We arrived after hours and left before office hours at the end of our trip, so I never met anyone in person at Florida Lifestyles, this was not an issue for me, since the property and area were exactly as Cathy had described. Unit 1312 was the same as the pictures on the website, we couldn't be happier with the unit we stayed. Had everything we needed for the perfect vacation. We will use Florida Lifestyles the next time we visit our family in Florida. Thank you Cathy for all your help finding us the perfect place to stay during our visit.
