Not good. Forest Lodge Pictures and online reviews are not a reflection of the actual property. Day one- hair all over the master bedroom sheets. Day two- no cleaning supplies or trash bags. Day three- sprung a roof leak in the downstairs bedroom. Property management provided clean sheets for “us” to replace and trash bags. They claimed the roof leak was from an ice dam but once the ice was cleared the leak got worse. Leak was never rectified and downstairs bed remained wet. For the price you are paying to stay at this cabin you would expect the accommodations to be a little more up to date and have less issues. I would not recommend staying at this cabin. The cabin as a whole needs some serious updating.
We wanted to get away just for a long weekend and this place was perfect. Talked back into the woods up against a beautiful lake it felt like you are miles away from civilization but yet a two minute drive from seven springs. There was one little issue we had and once we told the property management company they fixed it probably. This would be perfect in the winter time.
First, the company was very good with communication. We appreciate that very much. However, that is about the best part of the trip. When we arrived, there was a massive fan blowing in the kitchen and the kitchen floor was soaked. The dishwasher was broken and leaked everywhere, therefore we had no dishwasher the entire trip. The fireplace was not working either, therefore we had no fireplace for our entire trip. One of the biggest things we were looking forward to was being cozy by the fireplace as it is very snowy and cold. In addition - when we were coming home last night from our night out, we could not get into the house because the door lock box had dead batteries. Finally, the cabin is very outdated. The bedroom with the two twin beds was absolutely FREEZING and the bedroom upstairs was also freezing.Overall, the cabin was not what we were expecting and with the broken dishwasher, broken fireplace, busted door lock box and the cold bedrooms, we are very disappointed. For the price of the rental, which is VERY high, I would hope you would consider giving us a partial refund. Thank you again for your communication during our stay, we really appreciate it. And please consider and let us know your thoughts on the refund.Thank you.
