10 Minute Walk to Notre Dame Stadium - 1st Class Accommodations - Updated 2024

We have been on VRBO since 2010 and our reviews speak volumes! We are ideally set up for multiple families or multiple generations who want to be all together under one roof and not in different hotel rooms. This 3,000 square foot townhouse is the perfect entertaining venue for out-of-town guests. The townhouse received a face lift this past winter. New furniture, window treatments and lighting to name a few. The big horn sheep stayed as well as the Notre Dame themed basement. Most importantly - it's got location, location, location! Please refer to the map. *** Please know that all significant dates including Graduation, home football games and JPW are priced higher than other dates at $3,000 per night with a 2 night minimum***. From time to time the dates of these events changes before I can update my calendar.
The townhouse is located across the street from the University by the soccer and lacrosse fields and is literally a 10 minute walk to the football stadium. The immediate area around the townhouse offers several restaurants, Martin's Grocery Store, Starbucks, and Eddy Street Commons.

There are four bedrooms - two rooms with king beds, a third room with two sets of bunkbeds (the bottom beds are doubles), and the fourth room has a set of bunkbends (the bottom bunk is a double) and a queen bed. There is a lot of sleeping space.

We hope you will take the time to read our reviews. We host quite a few guests for events other than home football games - including weddings at Sacred Heart, ND and SMC class reunions, retreats and out of town family visiting relatives in South Bend.

While we have listed this property as not suitable for kids, let me just say that kids are welcome but there are no child safety locks on any cabinets or the stairs.

House was big, really nice, well equipped and right next to Notre Dame. WIFI and cable were not working well was the only negative.

This property is as advertised and the owner was easy to work with and accommodating. Great location for anything at Notre Dame. We didn't have any surprises which is a good thing. We would stay there again.

Great Game Day Weekend

Loved this property. Would happily stay there every time I go to a ND football game with my group. Excellent location and easy walk to stadium. Comfortable bedrooms and plenty of bathrooms for a large group.

Amazing home and location

We could not have had a better place to stay! Three generations got together for the Billy Joel concert and the weekend was perfect! The townhouse was beautifully decorated, had every amenity you could think of, and had large gathering areas. Grill was provided so we didn’t have to fight the crowds to find a place to eat before the stadium event and the location was a 10 minute walk to the stadium. Thanks again!

Brigid is awesome

We rented the VRBO for a family wedding. The setting was perfect for having an area for the entire family to gather each day (vs. three or four hotel rooms). The place was clean, close to the Notre Dame campus and Brigid made the whole process very easy. We will stay here again the next time we have an ND event.

Good experience all the way from beginning to end. Would just keep an eye on the antlers over the tub in the second floor bathroom. Communication with Brigid was good. In terms of supplies, house was the best supplied of our past VRBO rentals to date.

Awesome stay at a great property

Visiting the University of Notre Dame with friends and family for the first time. Attended a football game. I can’t say enough about the wonderful property we stayed in. From the get go, Brigid was a willing resource for any questions I had, and stayed in touch via text and email throughout our stay. The property is great and I can’t say enough wonderful things about it. Very clean, and has anything someone could want during their stay. No problems whatsoever. The location can’t be beat. Literally a 10 minute walk from the front door to the front gates of Notre Dame football stadium. You won’t find a nicer, more accommodating property for a weekend football game. Local restaurants and attractions are close by and an easy walk or drive. Again, can’t say enough good things about this property and highly recommend it.

Notre Dame game weekend

We have stayed in several VRBO properties. This one definitely ranks at the top! The home is immaculately clean, well equipped, and beautifully furnished! Too many amenities to list. Brigid's communication was so helpful. And, our visiting UC Bearcats bringing home a win was the icing on the cake! Can not say enough wonderful things! Highly recommend!

Easter at ND

Everything about the house was great. Communications with Brigid was easy and prompt. Check in and check out was simple. Location was perfect - close to campus. We were 2 families visiting students at ND for Easter and there was plenty of room for all ages. Definitely recommend this rental.

ND Town House

Attended the ND/Boston College game in Nov '19. Two of my sons attend BC and a daughter at ND, so attending the game was a must. The cleanliness and location of the town house was great, we could walk to the stadium. Working with the property manager was also a plus, she really was intent on our being able to enjoy our stay. Checking in and out could not have been easier. If your plans include a visit to ND for a home game this townhouse will enhance your stay.

My husband attended UND and I attended SMC. I grew up in South Bend as did my husband's father. Both because of family ties and ties to the University, South Bend will always be a destination for us. As soon as we saw the location of this townhouse, we knew we were going to be happy. Because of our kids' activities, we cannot make it to most home football games and decided to look into renting our townhouse when we cannot be there.

Why they chose this property

I am from South Bend and attended SMC. My husband attended UND. South Bend will always be a destination for us. We finally decided to buy this townhouse based on location, location, location! If you are attending events on Notre Dame campus, you can pretty much leave your car in the driveway and walk!

What makes this property unique

When we have used the townhouse, we enjoy the proximity to the campus. We walk across the street and we are on the campus. We can walk easily to the ACC or the stadium for events. We have also enjoyed walking around the lake on campus or heading to the bookstore. It's also fun to walk to Eddy Street Commons and not have to worry about parking.
