Soak in the view and take a breath of fresh Cascade Mountain air at our riverfront mountain retreat. This is the perfect cabin to get away from it all and experience the outdoors. You'll be minutes away from world-class hikes, lakes, waterfalls, rock climbing, kayaking, and just a short drive from Steven's pass skiing and mountain biking. We've outfitted the home to be your cozy home base whether you're going on an epic adventure or simply enjoying the river and 5 lush acres the house sits on.
The space:
The cabin can comfortably accommodate up to 8 people. The home has an open floor plan with vaulted a-frame ceilings and a lofted second story featuring wood paneling throughout. A two-story wall of South facing windows lets natural light and mountain views fill the home. The gas fireplace completes the cozy atmosphere.
There are three bedrooms, each with queen-size memory foam mattresses and soft, clean linens. There is also a twin-size futon downstairs and an extra air mattress with sheets in the bedroom closet if it's needed.
The spacious kitchen is complete with stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher and microwave and has everything you'll need to enjoy a home-cooked meal if you're eating in. Brew a cup of coffee in the morning and enjoy the quiet, peaceful sounds of nature and soft lighting.
Upstairs is a space to relax or play with friends and family. Curl up on the couch and watch your favorite show on the large smart TV where you can log in to your favorite streaming service or connect with the provided HDMI cable and USB-C adapter. There is also a foosball table and board games to keep everyone entertained. Guest access
Our house sits on five acres with a very large, flat, grassy open space leading to the edge of Wallace River. Our guests are free to access and use this space at any time. The river is often low leaving a beautiful rocky riverfront area to enjoy.

The house is well done, clean, cute, cozy and private with an amazing view! Truly great experience. The property is a quick drive or bike ride to town which offers food shopping. This was a perfect stay for our getaway weekend.
Despite the rustic (and very woodsy) exterior, this cabin is very comfortable, clean & has all of the amenities one might need! All of the beds were clean, comfortable, and warm enough for colder nights. The living areas were comfortable & stocked with board games, cards or a large TV. And finally, the bathrooms were stocked with supplies & clean, soft towels. Last day cleanup was fairly simple & logical, with no overly time-consuming tasks (but we also don't tend to get super messy).
Our family of 4 had a great stay (despite the buggy outside area at the time), and would consider the Rivers Edge Chalet again in the future!
Thanks Josh & Chloe!

Why they chose this property
We bought this house because we love spending time outdoors in the areas accessible off Highway 2, there is so much to do all year! It takes just over an hour to get to the cabin from Seattle, but you feel completely removed from the city. The home sits on 5 acres surrounded by other 5-acre parcels on a dead end road so it feels remote, peaceful, and quiet. The views of Wallace River and the surrounding mountains replenish the soul.
