3 - Good

The service with the company was great. They are quick to answer and are always available to answer any questions regarding your stay. As for the cabin itself, well it could use some love and improved amenities. The cabin was mostly clean, but there was used tissue and trash found in the bathroom, which was a little gross. The linen on the beds could have used a fresh launder as they smelled like they had been sitting for a while, thank goodness we brought our own. The king bed was so comfortable and my parents enjoyed it, the kids had no complaints about their beds (also upstairs), but my bed in the downstairs bedroom, was so uncomfortable I could feel the springs as I sat and laid in the bed. The couch was more comfortable than the bed. Suggestion: to add a real curtain to the sliding doors of the downstairs bedroom because it only had a sheer curtain that was see-through. As for TVs, don't expect great entertainment. No apps signed in to the living room TV, you had Pluto TV, and the king bedroom only has a DVD player TV no cable, or smart TV, the 2nd upstairs bedroom had a very small TV that was smart but no apps as well. The downstairs bedroom had no TV. The couches recline but they are so hard to put back down and get stuck that we ended up leaving them up overnight until we could figure out how to put them back down, couches had small tears throughout but you could feel them when sitting. I reported a leaking sink and a hot water kettle that did not work. The second kettle I went to use had all this pink stuff coming out of it after boiling water, we did not use it again. The cabin heats up well and spreads evenly throughout the cabin, the only thing is the heater is loud and makes loud noises. My parents and I had trouble sleeping due to these noises, but we made do. The location of the cabin is great, near the village and slopes. The overall style of the cabin is cute. It was a decent stay for overnight but I would not book this cabin for longer as the comfort was not there.

A Great Stay!

We had a great family vacation staying at Bear 'n Tree Cabin. The cabin was clean and cozy. It was in a great neighborhood we were able to walk around. You could walk to lake or village (about a mile) but we decided to drive and it was super convenient. The cabin had a cute backyard where our son was able to play and explore. I would definitely reccommend staying at Bear 'n Tree Cabin and hope to return soon.

Convenient

Good Points: Close to everything. Decent Wi-Fi and good accommodations for everyone. The beds weren't half bad. Not the best, but definitely not too bad. Kitchen stocked with what you would need. plenty of seating. back yard tree climbing and bear ledge is awesome, kids loved it and we all had lunch in the tree. One and a half bath, perfect! Plenty of bath towels & an adorable towel elephant on the sink ledge, super cute... Nice neighborhood to go for a walk and close to Alpine Slides, The Village, and The Lake, etc. Poor Points: Wouldn't stay here again. Must open all windows because it smells incredibly musty mixed with the smell that someone smoked. once you air it out and keep the windows open, there's no smell. Ants constantly in kitchen no matter how clean you made it. The toaster requires you to stand there and hold down the lever otherwise it will not keep the toast down. TV in the bedroom up stairs turns on but no channels and no remote. Also the small lamp shade in the bedroom was barely hanging on by a thread. There was old spider webs hanging off the walls and ceilings everywhere. Grill is an old charcoal grill but a perfectly good gas grill right next to it. Unfortunately not for guest use. Shower head sprays the water fine and hard, feels like microdermabrasion, ouch. You can slightly adjust it, but then you get dribbles of water. The kitchen floor feels like someone had better add a few new boards or one day someone might go through the floor. Watch your head, the TV in the living room does not stay close to the wall and is in the walk path from the front door to the back room, yard or upstairs rooms. Over all its decent for the price if you want nothing real special. Seems like there are many other choices where it feels like the owners love their rental and the warmth is easily felt. This place is a place to crash for a bunch of people who don't really care about where they are staying. If that's you then this is perfect. Great back yard if you have a pet, three beds in two rooms, a futon in the extra room (office/den), someone could crash on one of the couches and reasonable in price.

Nice comfy house

The house has a good space for our party (4 adults & 2 kids) and it's clean. Kitchen is complete with all the utensils, pans, etc that you need. Heating only covers 1st floor - living room and kitchen. But they have 2 space heaters that you can bring up to the two room upstairs. It also has nice den, but you need another heater for that room. The heater broke down when we were there, it took time for the maintenance guy to arrive, maybe due to snow storm, but anyway, it got fixed after sending the 2nd guy. Overall, we have a pleasant experience and we will consider this place again on our next winter vacation!

Bear n tree?

It was ok staying here but they false advertise . The showered was dirty when we came in. There is no pool table, or washer and dryer. There is no pans to cook. The heater didn't work the first night and the plug in heater kept over loading the power. My expectations were not met for this place. I expected a little more. Will we be staying at this cabin I don't think so. Will we use this website again...maybe.
