The Reed House - Self-checkin with guest code delivered day of checkin (4:00 eastern time). Our sweet cottage rests on our 8 acres of property overlooking the Green Mountains and Mt. Danby. Woods, trails, water, easy resort access to Bromley, Stratton, Mt Snow, Manchester & Dorset all within 20 minutes. Come stay next door where Silas Griffith (Vermont's 1st Millionaire) built the main house in 1860, considered the "Skyscraper of Southern Vermont" during the Civil War years along with Pearl S. Buck (Nobel prize & Pulitzer prize winner for “The Good Earth”) used to reside!

Getting around
So many villages with so little time! Ski, hike, tour all the "Shires of Southern Vermont" all minutes away from the cottage. Car, biking, hiking all ways to get around or just sit out by the brook on the property. Cottage only sleeps 2 and limited to 2 guests only

It's home away from home

One of our favorite get-away locations. The cottage is so warm and cozy and has all the creature comforts, thanks to the intuitive attention to details of the hosts. Whether you're enjoying a glass of wine in front of the fire place or settling in for the night in the exceptionally comfortable king bed, you'll feell right at home in this lovely cottage.

The Most Wonderful Romantic Cozy Long Weekend

Our trip to Vermont was absolutely wonderful and the beautiful, well-appointed cottage was everything and more! I returned home clear-headed and completely relaxed! The owners even answered some questions regarding the best mode of travel and directed me to the best airports. My husband and I cannot wait to return to this beautiful cottage! The owners had all dressed for fall!

Beautiful cabin makes you feel right at home!

Thanks to Tom and Sam for such a wonderful NYE weekend stay in Vermont. The cabin is absolutely beautiful, spacious and well-appointed throughout. We felt right at home in front of the cozy fireplace and the bedding was amazing! We also enjoyed making dinner in the well-equipped kitchen. This place is a gem! Wonderful cabin with the most amazing views

We traveled to Vermont for a long weekend, and we were so glad to stay in this lovely cabin! It’s stunningly decorated, and has fantastic amenities! The rushing falls/river located on the property makes for an amazing photo opportunity, too!

Comfy and Cozy

This sweet cottage is magical! It is extremely well appointed with all the creature comforts and incredibly comfortable furniture. Located in the little community of Danby, it's close to everything and we are already looking forward to returning.

Wonderful retreat

We so needed a getaway with privacy. This was everything we could have asked for and more. Clean, spacious, and convenient, of course, but also personal, delightful, welcoming, warm...a haven in every sense.

Extremely comfortable and welcoming cottage

I stayed for six days. The cottage was spacious and clean with more than all the creature comforts you could wish for including everything you would need for a weeklong stay and forget to bring. Best of all Tom and Sam are kind and caring hosts. You can’t go wrong in choosing this place.

Absolutely lovely!
