About this property

Private2Acres|LgGroupOasis|Game Rm|HotTub|Creek

Gather the family or large group at Bear's Creek Lodge, where year-round outdoor recreation, from skiing to hiking, is minutes away – less than 5 mins from Beech Mountain resort. You’ll love this spacious 3,000-sq-ft cabin on 2 private acres with a large creek. Relax in a peaceful oasis: Soak in the hot tub, have a blast in the game room, and make memories around the firepit. Enjoy nearby trails for hiking + mountain-biking. Every comfort + convenience is here, from full kitchen to washer-dryer.

The Space
Step into the mudroom at Bear's Creek Lodge via convenient keyless entry and make your way into the open-concept living area with kitchen, dining area, and great room. Settle into the great room’s comfy seating, warm yourself with the gas fireplace, and snuggle up with provided throw blankets – plus pillows. No worries about the forgetting to turn off the fireplace; a timer offers options up to 120 minutes and shuts off automatically. Exult in the spaciousness afforded by the soaring 25-foot vaulted ceilings and the natural light streaming through huge windows.

Steps away, prep and cook your best culinary creations in the fully equipped kitchen with all the standard major appliances – refrigerator, stove/oven, dishwasher, microwave. Handy small appliances – crockpot, waffle-maker, and toaster – are also at your fingertips. You’ll find plenty of counterspace – including the kitchen island – and all the cookware, bakeware, dishware, flatware, glassware, serving-ware, storage containers, and utensils you need to prepare and serve your favorite recipes.

Grab your morning hot beverage from the coffee bar, featuring both drip coffeemaker and Keurig. You’ll also find a hot-water kettle, along with k-cups, teas, creamer, and sweeteners.

Dine at the bench-style table for 10-12, supplemented by barstool seating for 3 at the kitchen island (also a sweet spot to sip hot beverages or enjoy breakfast, lunch or a snack).

Or dine al fresco at the table for 4 as you watch the sun set from the back deck – which you can easily access through sliders from the inside dining area. You’ll find a gas grill on the front porch, along with a table for 2, where you can enjoy a hot or cold beverage.

While you’re outside, explore 2 gorgeous acres, check out breathtaking views, discover nearby hiking trails, listen to the water rush down Bear's Creek, and observe wildlife – guests love the deer visitors. Or just relax on Adirondack seating on the covered deck. Best of all, soak your stresses away in the 6-person hot tub off the master bedroom.

In the evening, gather the group as you laugh, tell stories, and make memories and s’mores around the firepit.

Back inside, enjoy your favorite movies, shows, and sports on the fully finished basement’s 55" ROKU Smart TV with DVD player as you stretch out on the comfy, oversized sectional or in one of the two recliners in the warmth of the cozy electric fireplace. Use your own log-ins to access popular streaming channels.

Steps away, have a blast playing pool and arcade games in the game room. You’ll find board games and kids’ books here, too.

After a full day of skiing on Beech Mountain, you’ll welcome the mudroom’s drip trays for wet boots and plenty of hangers for bulky winter coats, followed by a relaxing warm-up in the hot tub. Whether you’ve been skiing, exploring all the local area has to offer, or just hanging out enjoying the many amenities of Bear's Creek Lodge, head for a restful night’s sleep in your choice of 5 bedrooms, all with TVs, as well as fresh and extra soft linens.

Discover in the Primary Bedroom on the main level, a custom log king bed flanked by bedside tables with lamps. You’ll love the high ceilings and easy access to the back deck and hot tub. You’ll have a dresser, closet, and nightstand drawer for storage. Lull yourself to sleep watching the 40” ROKU TV with guest mode. Enjoy the convenience of the ensuite bathroom with double-sink vanity, bath/shower combo, a separate stand-up shower, and all bathroom essentials.

Also on the main level, you’ll find Bedroom 2 with its queen log bed, bedside tables with lamps, blanket rack, and access to the back deck. Wind down to sleep watching the 40” ROKU Smart TV. Storage is in the form of a dresser and closet.

Bedroom 4, also in the basement, features a custom log queen bed, bedside tables with lamps, ceiling fan, and a dresser and closet for storage. Luxuriate in bed as you watch the 40" ROKU Smart TV.

The kiddos and kids-at-heart will love Bedroom 5 with its twin-over-double bunk. They’ll have a closet for storage and enjoy watching their own shows on the 40” ROKU smart TV.

Winter Vacation

The house was great, comfort and activities at every level. The kitchen was incredibly well equipped, and permitted to cook meals and even bake cookies easily.I wish we could have stayed in the Fall of 2024 as originally planned by hurricane Helene forced us to postpone to January 2025, when snow and cold made the stay more difficult, but still enjoyable. Owner was very understanding and accommodating.

Amazing Vacation!!!

The cabin was exactly as described and in the pictures. The location was wonderful! Upon arrival, we saw a black bear right outside our cabin window. We were able to watch it run up into the woods from the deck. Multiple times we saw deer. Our favorite time was when we saw a doe and her fawn right in our backyard. There is a beautiful stream just down from the fire pit. We loved to sit out there and listen to it as we enjoyed gathering around the fire pit and roasting marshmallows. Many times we sat on the deck and enjoyed all of nature’s beauty. The host was amazing, communication was outstanding where they were quick to respond to any concerns, and the cabin was immaculate! Thanks for a making our family vacation one to remember!

Beech Mountain

The house is amazing, photos don’t even do it justice. Tons of room host thought of everything that could have been forgotten. The deer in the yard were great. Very relaxing. Should probably have signs about the cameras but they don’t seem to be directly violating our privacy.

Escape to the mountains

Overall this property was outstanding. The drive up and down Beech Mountain was a little more involved than I'd have liked with young children aboard. No ones fault there, just a heads up for anyone reading this who would also have very young children with them. The basement where we stayed with the kids was very damp and pretty dusty. There were 2 humidifiers available in the basement which were very helpful but they needed to be running the entire time. The listing said there was a working fire place but instead there was a LED fireplace which blew warm air. Not a big deal just needs to be updated on listing. Those were my only things of note on the property as the rest of our experience was fantastic. Cabin itself was beautiful and the backyard with the fire pit and creek running through was my favorite part. Lots of room for our 5 adults, two young children and two medium sized dogs to enjoy themselves. The hot tube was in great shape and very enjoyable. Communication with host was great at all times. My family and I had a wonderful stay at Bear's Creek Lodge

An Amazing Place!

What a great cabin and location! The cabin was beautiful and very clean and in an absolutely beautiful area. There were 9 of us aging from 15 to 73 and everyone loved it. One of the highlights of our trip was a doe that wandered onto the property. She even let us feed and pet her. The teenagers especially were beyond thrilled to be able to do that. It was an unexpected bonus to an already outstanding vacation! This area is a great ski area, but there is also a lot to do in the summer and I highly recommend it, and this cabin, to anyone!

Best location!

This is a very large & beautiful cabin located in the Beech Mountain resort area. It had everything we needed to enjoy Spring Break - home cooked meals, a hot tub, hiking out back, playing in the creek, nightly campfires with s’mores and hot dogs . We saw so much wildlife - deer & turkeys galore! We had a great time visiting the alpine coaster near Sugar Mountain and hiking at Grandfather Mountain. We have stayed at many cabins over the last few years and this was by far my favorite. I love the location because it felt remote yet it was pretty close to everything. The backyard was also easily accessible. Communication with the owner was fantastic and the check in/out process was so easy. Highly recommended!
