About this property

Charming studio very central Soho/Covent Garden. Excellent reviews!

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! A cosy haven of charm and comfort right at the very centre of London.
Certificate of Excellence since 2018. Over 100 excellent reviews on the most popular websites.
Very close to Soho, Covent Garden, Leicester Square, West End theatres, the new Outernet London, Oxford street shopping, British Museum, Denmark st. music heritage landmark, Oasis gym and swimming pool, etc. All within 5 minutes walk.
Restaurants, shops, cafés, supermarket etc. nearby.

Tottenham court rd. tube station a few steps away. New Elizabeth line direct from Heathrow. 40 mins. ride.

The room has charm in abundance, mixing modern design that incorporates an interesting split level living area and the original features of the impressive Edwardian building.

The apartment is surprisingly quiet considering its central location. This is because the apartment is high above the road (3rd floor) and has very effective newly fitted double glazing windows. A separate shower cubicle. A very comfortable double bed that slides out at bed time and slides away during the day. The bed has a new (April 2024) hybrid supportive high quality mattress. As seen in the photos the studio is on two levels - only two steps between both. Not accessible for wheelchairs. A well equipped kitchen. Cable TV, hi-speed Wi Fi. Linen and towels provided.
The flat's manager meets you at the flat upon arrival and checks you in.
The historic Edwardian building in which the flat is located has currently been restored. The facade looks beautiful ! There are still restoration works in the stairway and some of the other flats, and the vintage lift may go in and out of service during the works. Works take place only during working hours and on weekdays only. Therefore we are offering during the restoration period discounted rates. The rate was amended accordingly in the listing.

Location, location, location

The best thing about this flat is the location. Right in the theater district and close to the art galleries, the British Museum, St. Martin's, Soho, and Mayfair. And most importantly, across the street from Foyles. The tube station is a few minutes walk away. The Elizabeth line stops there so getting to Heathrow is easy.

Location, etc!

Fantastic location, close to tube; major attractions; bars and restaurants. Eccentric layout to apartment, but no problem, and excellent communication.

Great Location-Enjoyed our time in London

The building was quiet and the apartment was clean. The description of the property is 100% accurate. The property manager was pleasant and responsive. Things to know if you’re going to stay at the property is there are towels provided but there are no extra kitchen or bath towels. also, it’s common in Europe to not have a top sheet so you may want to bring a top sheet or a blanket of your own. The only thing I would say could be better are the window coverings. We had to keep The blinds closed for dressing/privacy which made it really dark. There’s a wonderful cinnamon roll shop and coffee shop at the bottom of the apartment building and the restaurants in the area are amazing

AMAZING LOCATION

I am very happy with my 9 day stay in this apartment. It was perfect location - walking distance to all touristy spots, next to Tottenham Court Road Station, close to grocery stores. Communication with the location manager was 1000/100 (yes, 1000/100) :) Apartment is comfortable and perfect for normads on a budget! Definitely will recommend and I am coming back to stay here again.

Fantastic location not great for seniors

Pros-Fantastic location. Walking distance to West End Theatres and Chinatown. Steps to the underground to go anywhere in London. Small but functional lift. Responsive host. Cons- were not aware of interior steps-two steps from kitchen and toilet area to shower area and two steps down to “bedroom”/living room. Did not realize that the bed was a mattress in a drawer that slid under the couch and stayed on the floor when pulled out so you had to crawl in and out of bed onto the floor, then go up 2 steps, walk behind the couch and then down 2 steps to reach the toilet. No real closet - cupboards and hooks on the back of the shower door. Shower light is on a timer and turns off after 2 minutes. When one of us showered, the other watched for the light to go out and went in and waved and the light came on for another 2 minutes and so on. Location may make it worth the inconvenience for younger guests, but we will not return.

Beware this awkward and tired studio

The building is undergoing a huge renovation on both the exterior (shrouded in scaffolding and black mesh) and interior (temporary wiring and cables in hallways, noise, dust and workmen) which isn’t the fault of the host but his photos showing exterior views are are so misleading, probably 7-10 yrs out of date featuring a pre-war domed building across the street which was demolished years ago replaced by a glass and steel building, the SoHo Theatre. This part of Charing Cross Rd is akin to Times Square in NYC, ie. very busy, lots of lights, and can be noisy throughout the night. Additionally, the apartment itself is in very disappointing condition. The wc has a minuscule sink but no towel rack so you exit the room with wet hands. The separate shower closet has a light which uses a movement sensor and shuts off as you shower, leaving you in the dark and having to open shower door and wave at the light to activate it. I’m a quick showerer but had to wave at the light 3 times. The living room’s wooden seating bench sofa has a very worn futon cover as it’s upholstery and is awkward to sit on for any length of time as there’s no padding. The bed pulls out from under this wooden bench. The mattress is aged and mushy. The price per night reflects the location, which is super central but the low quality of the apartment will surely be a shock and disappointment to those who stay in it.
