Amazing New 5 Bed Home next to the Columbia River. Sleeps 10 adults & 9 Kids
Stunning 5,800 sq foot 5 bedroom 3.5 bath architectural marvel. Newly built. Sleeps 10 adults in beds and 9 kids in fold-outs. Nestled 40 yards from the Columbia River. Lots of room including a 1100 sq foot great room with 15 ft ceiling, entertainment / game room, two car garage - with plenty of extra parking. Unique inner court with open sky views. Large deck with surrounding trees. Two car garage. Big gas fireplace. Internet. Washer and Dryer. Away from the city. Heated polished cement floor and AC. There are also chairs that pull out beds in each room and two pull-out couches in the game room. This is not intended to be a "party" house but has lots of room for responsible get-togethers. Please note that because we are next the Columbia River, that means we're also next to a railroad track. However the railroad sits lower than the house and though it passes a number of times a day, I hardly notice it.

Very nice place for all our family. Only complaint was how muddy the driveway and parking g area was. Need to get some gravel in, was a mess! Other than that, nice place, plenty of room!
The house was perfect for our family. The kitchen was well equipped. The open floor plan allowed us all to be together and enjoy different activities. It was an easy walk to the river where the littles enjoyed throwing rocks and collecting treasures. We would book again!
Remote beautiful home in the middle of nature and beauty but still conveniently located to everything you need. We have been staying at the Gorge every year for the past 10 years and this home is by far our favorite
Loved the roomy open spaces as well as the view of the river. As a family of designers we all appreciated the modern space and the room for all 10 of us. Look forward to next year!
This home is even prettier in person! It also has all the bells and whistles! Warm floors, very clean, so much gathering space, fully stocked, beautiful colors. It was an amazing place for our four families with a variety of kid ages! (The train goes by several times each day, but it really is charming!!!) Take the fam to the cute little town of Stevenson! It’s adorable!
Loved this property! Great location, very private and excellent views of the woods and river. Even though there were only 3 adults we enjoyed the open and spacious greatroom and kitchen areas. Bedrooms were comfortable and loved the private bath options. Really enjoyed the outdoor living areas particularly the large decks. Just adults this trip but we did enjoy the game room. We did hear the periodic trains but hardly noticed when in the home. We all hope to return to this property next time we are in this area.
We stayed here as a place for our wedding party family to get ready and hang out at before my wedding. It was such a beautiful view and time spent here. I have such great getting ready photos from here as well. Loved being able to watch the sunset from the couch everyday.
We chose this home for our family vacation. We are a family of ten with a one year old toddler. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay at this amazing property. It was better than advertised! The home was secluded in a beautiful setting nestled between trees with great mountain and river views. It was very spacious and comfortable. We appreciated having a pack and play and high chair for our toddler. We purchased a lightweight foldable stroller while there and donated it to the house as well. The house was well located making trips to Hood River and the Cascade Locks easy. Aaron was great at communicating and responded quickly to questions we had. We hope to return to this amazing property in the future.
The nicest vacation home I’ve ever stayed in. Great private location, beautiful views and just a fantastic space to hang out in. All the bedrooms had tv’s, and the game room was fun. I can’t say enough how the great room and kitchen are designed for a fantastic entertaining experience.
The home was very clean and so well designed.
This new property is beautiful in a very pretty setting away from other homes, in large trees with views of the Columbia River. Our older family met here for a reunion and had a wonderful relaxing time sitting on the porch and playing games.
Stayed here with 5 families total and it was perfect! Plenty of room for everyone from ages 1 to 40! The game room was a hit and the adults really enjoyed the outdoor fire table in the atrium! Beautiful view as well!
I am so glad I located Aaron’s property on VRBO & booked it early! The calendar filled up very fast, especially for being a newer listing.
The photos are great, but you can only experience the true beauty & size of this home (we dubbed it ‘The Modern Mansion in the Gorge.’ 🙃) We spent a full week at the property for an annual vacation. The discount for booking 7 days allowed us to extend our stay. There were 3 couples & 3 singles in our group. Everyone got their own room, with the youngest choosing the upstairs game loft (aka “the penthouse apartment.) She found the fold out couch to be very comfortable; and, although it’s not an enclosed room, felt like she had enough privacy. The size of the great room feels massive and the view through all of the windows is breathtaking. The shower in the primary bathroom provided a spa-like experience & is already missed. I could go on & on as the house is beyond “wow!”
I truly can’t say enough about how pleased we were with this rental. Our host did a great job responding to our questions.
(The only note I would add applies to ALL rental properties: if you plan on cooking any meals that require certain pots/pans/utensils, consider bringing your own.)
Thank you, Aaron, for sharing your gorgeous home with us and for your wonderful hospitality!
Beautiful, clean, open floor plan, accommodated 9 adults and 2 teens with plenty of room. The game room was awesome and the family spent most of our time there. The evening was enjoyed by the beautiful fireplace burning in the background while we played games. Our family enjoyed our stay there and would highly recommend this beautiful home for the perfect relaxing getaway!
Huge, beautiful home in a stunning location. Plenty of space for our family of 11 to gather, cook, play games, and enjoy the scenery. It’s even better than the listing - the view of the river (through trees) is amazing. We saw deer and bald eagles, and got great local beer and salmon in Stevenson. Communication with the owner was great. The train goes by frequently but it’s quiet inside the house and you can’t get this close to the river without some train sightings.
We are a group of retired backpackers. All Women. Now we still try to get together and find houses to rent. This house was absolutely perfect for older people because of all the bedrooms being on the main floor. The house is definitely set up for a good size crowd. Nice big kitchen, huge dining table and lots of seating inside and out. We enjoyed the area and the deer in the front yard. I would recommend this house to larger groups.
The house was amazing. Beautifully furnished.Huge rooms which fit our family. (6 adults, 4 kids and a baby). The kids loved the game room which was upstairs. We hardly heard them when we sitting in the amazing living room looking out onto the trees and river. We also loved the fireplace…very cozy. The beds were comfy. Highly recommend to any group staying in the area.
The house is fabulous, great location for our family spread throughout Oregon and Washington. It has very nice bedroom/ bathroom arrangements, nicely supplied with all the necessities and great open spaces for a gathering of 5 siblings and our spouses in their 70’s and 80’s for our annual 3 days of catching up, stories about kids and grandkids, reminiscing over years gone by and never without lots of laughter and libation. Thank you from all 10 of us.
This is my second time renting this gorgeous house and it won't be my last. I have never felt so comfortable and relaxed in a rental. It is the perfect size for a work retreat or for a get together with friends. I plan on making this house mine every year going forward. Thanks again!!!
