About this property

Lake Life!

The thing I love most about our home is our amazing sunrises. It’ll feel like you’re 1,000,000 miles from civilization when you’re just tucked away on a semi-private lake. Enjoy fishing, swimming, boating, floating, sun bathing, or just simply relaxing. We are only 10 minutes from shopping, restaurants, golf courses, parks and hiking, and several major wedding venues. We are 20 minutes from downtown chattanooga and major city attractions including Rock City, Ruby Falls, Chattanooga Aquarium, Chattanooga Zoo, Cherokee National Forest, the Ocoee River, and much more. Our lake season is limited to six months. April through October. You will always have amazing water views and sunrises, but water activities may be limited during the off-season.

We are pet friendly for smaller, house broken, cage trained pets, but please ask about our pet fee.

Come see why we love Chattanooga and choose to call Ooltewah our home. This is a private access basement apartment in my home. We live upstairs. But youll have all the privacy you want and need for a great vacation with your own driveway private entrance, and private hot tub, and fire pit.

Beautiful view. Oasis!

Feels like you are a million miles away from everything. Lovely lake views, gorgeous pool, relaxing hot tub. Comfy and cosy. The room has everything you need and more! Lovely and spacious outside, parking space, large bed swing, firepit, dock right on the lake. We had so much privacy. The neighborhood was safe and peaceful. Herby was very responsive and helpful. Really enjoyed our stay! quiet.

Birthday getaway

Visiting Rudy Falls for my husband's birthday. This was a beautiful place to relax after a long day. The hot tub and couch swing were my favorite.

Nice weekend getaway

We had a wonderful time! The location is stunning! We particularly enjoyed having breakfast down by the lake and relaxing in the hot tub! One suggestion we have is to make the entrance more visible or direct us toward the back of the house on check in instructions. Also, the fire pit would lite but would not stay lit. Thanks for the nice stay!

Ooltewah get away

The property was very clean and had all the amenities that made our stay incredibly relaxing. We had plans to spend time in Chattanooga but spent some time relaxing at our rental home. The hot tube was very much needed for both my wife and I. It was too cold for the pool and the lake was dried out during this time of year or we would have enjoyed spending time on the water, as well. The host was very flexible with us and accommodated our stay to change dates last minute due to unexpected circumstances on our end. We had a wonderful time staying at Herby’s!!

Property was immaculate, so much fun to enjoy the lake, kayaking around, and the opportunity for the hot tub/pool. The room was clean and had everything needed/wanted. The bed was bery comfortable and fit my large frame that's 6'3".

If you’re looking to feel like 1,000,000 miles away, but still close to civilization, this is in place. Breathtaking views in the perfect lake setting. The water is great for boating, floating, swimming, or just laying out. Lots of great restaurants within 10 minutes. Close to Chattanooga, the Ocoee River, the Cherokee National Forest, Lookout Mountain, along with Ruby, Falls, and Rock City. Private driveway and entrance. Very Romantic. Free paddle board and Kayak, along with some yard games to make your stay more fun. Pool and dock are shared. Hot tub is private and for guests only. A wave runner is available for rent by the hour with a signed waver and fee of $85/hour.
